Preflight
Our departure was delayed due to slow border security at LAX which is the usual now! After I arrived from my CX flight, my Co-pilot was already waiting for me at TBIT and they shuttled me to Atlantic Aviation where I will wait for my family members to arrive on the SQ A380 flight from SIN. I really didn't mind the extended wait as it gave me time to chat with the pilot and also walk around the tarmac where next to us were an Encore, Hawker 400, Falcon 7X and also a German registered Gulfstream G5. Before we departed, both the Hawker 400 and Encore took off within a short time of each other.

Preflight checks & views on departure
Flight was pretty smooth and great views due to a low cruise of about 11,000 feet.
Before long our great flight came to an end. Looking forward to another great flight with the Desert Jet team in a few days.

Our bird, a Citation Encore N812DC
Interesting to note that there were a couple of Marine F18E's next to our bird and I realized that the pilots were about to perform some touch and go's at Miramar.

Great looking interior in this Encore.

Take off run, check out the bad weather around PSP
Pilots from Desert Jet were great as usual and they really had their work cut out as they had to avoid some bad weather along the way.

Final approach
Most of my time was spent taking pictures of the cabin and soon enough we were in the ground in LAS. Really happy and satisfied with Desert Jets and really looking forward to flying with them soon.

As usual, I was busy taking pictures the whole trip and exploring the cabin.
City of L.A and Beverly Hills and final approach into Santa Monica
Soon enough we were already on the ground at Santa Monica and bid farewell to the crew. Crew were fantastic but I do prefer the much more relaxed and friendly atmosphere at Desert Jets.

What a wonderful trip for you and your family ! The Legacy 600 really does look nice, as does the Encore. I planned on flying a short private hop from MSY to HOU this year, but alas my travel plans were wrecked and I had to divert to BDA last minute to attend to a personal matter. Either way, it does look like a wonderful way to travel. You're a very lucky man !
Just a question- on these aircraft, is there a way of closing the cockpit door if the passengers wanted more privacy? Especially on the larger Legacy 600?
U r welcome to come aboard anytime although i don't know when i will be able to fly private again ahahah kinda blew my budget away on this trip!

Not on the light jets, but no problems on the Legacy 600

Quoting ryan h (Reply 5): Bizjet reports are rare. Looks very nice.
Unfortunately I will probably never get to fly on a bizjet.
Thats what i used to think, but remember be optimistic and positive in life and i am sure you can do it ! Sometimes you can get a light jet for only around 2000 USD for an hour
Quoting Ps76 (Reply 6): It's a different world flying on business jets that's for sure. A lot of money spent yes but a great way to spend it!
Hi Pierre, actually still feeling the hole i burnt in my pocket! ahahahhaah

Very impressive i must say.
Say, is there a greater privacy level in some aspects when traveling in a full commercial jet compared to a private jet where its you and the pilots and where the actual space is much more intimidating and confined.

There is actually a lot more privacy on a private jet due to many aspects, but mainly, you are the only ones on board, and everything is handled discreetly from the time you arrive at the FBO until the time you arrive at your destination.
