Preflight
By the time i arrived in BKK there was not enough time to go for a massage, so i just relaxed in the Royal First Lounge and had a shower.
Views of my favourite lounge, TG’s Royal First Lounge @ BKK
Before i knew it, our personal valets picked us up from the lounge and took us to out gate where our B744 in retro colors was waiting for us.
Inflight
Usual warm and personal flight attendents welcomed me onboard and settled in my seat 1K.
My usual seat, and TG’s now reknowned Rimowa amenity kit
Inflight menu
Load was 70% in F. I soon settled into my routine after take off where i had my meal, watched a movie and then off to slumber land.
IFE options, AVOD or my own iPad
Getting ready for dinner or supper actually
Caviar for starters
Moving map
Soup
My now favorite preorder meal: Fried Rice with Pork
And healthy fruits for dessert
Watching my iPad before going to bed
When i woke up, breakfast service was already in full swing.
After washing up i had breakfast and soon enough we were on final descent. Another great flight with TG. Just like a second home to me.
Final cabin shot before descend
Goodbye old friend, hope to see you soon (she will actually take me back to BKK in 2 days time)
During my stay in Frankfurt, I stayed at the Westin Grand. Here are some pictures of the room:

Preflight
FRA was particularly busy this afternoon. By the time I completed formalities it was already 1 hour to departure. Just bought some cigars at duty free then it was off to the new Senator lounge. This lounge is a stark difference to the old one. 4 times the size and even has a smoking room.
New Senator F Lounge at the B Gates
Even has nice big smoking room
20mins before departure the TG valet picked u up and whisked us to the gate for immediate boarding.
HS-TGP waiting for me again
Inflight
100% full in all classes today. Crew were working to their max to get everyone settled in.
Cabin Views
Tarmac views and take off
Few more cabin shots
The usually reliable AVOD on the B744 decided to have a fit
But once reboot was complete, no problems
Inflight Menu
Pretty quick flight time of under 10hrs to Bangkok today. Pretty lucky that I preordered my meal as being a full load in F would mean sometimes the popular choice might be gone.
Canapes
Meal service
After main course was served, I was really full, so I just skipped dessert and decided to get some sleep. I woke up when breakfast was already being served
Final Cabin pic
Although I have travelled this route with this equipment on TG so many times, I still come out a happy man as TG has a very stable and good service in F. Frankfurt is actually TG’s main route with 2 daily flights and will also be their first A380 destination when they get their birds in mid 2012.
Thanks again for reading guys.

ThaiA345,
I noticed you always use the combo MH+TG.
Just out of curiosity, why not use SQ ? They have loads of flights from CGK, and are Star Alliance like TG.
I've been living in Jakarta and Bali for 12 years, and I travel several times a year to France, always with SQ (albeit in Y, unfortunately...). Service in F or R seems excellent too on SQ...

Hello H, great report as always!
Judging by your reports you've probably the most frequent TG Premium flyer on this forum. Since you commute so often to FRA, how comes you don't fly LH in F instead? At least they do offer better ground facilities then the SEN Lounge (which by the way looks fabulous). Or perhaps your annual mileage is enough for a LH HON card?
Cheers
//Jonas
I won't stop complaining until SAS reintroduces free service in Economy Class!

I have some businesses in KUL which I have to check and oversee, therefore I always do quick stopovers on my outbounds to check on operations there
Quoting MSS658 (Reply 6): Nice trip report, thanks for sharing! It is always nice to see the TG F-class feeling! It gives a nice warm feeling!
F cabin on the B744 is like a second home to me now

My personal preference is that i do not fly any western airlines, due to the fact, service levels are far below their asian counterparts, and ground service too is a stark difference.

I am actually a TG Platinum member, which is a new level launched mid this year, its by invite only and in same levels as HON and PPS/Solitaire by SQ.

I always like reading your reports! Thanks for this one.
I have just booked a flight to HKG and BKK on TG (in F) for february out of MXP for only Euro 3'500 rtn (The price out of ZRH which is my home airport is more twice the price out of MXP). I hope having good flights. It will be the first time for me on an A346.
Once again thanks for sharing

Glad you like me reports. So i believe your BKK to HKG flights are with the A346? Be warned, this aircraft although a beautiful, has the 1st gen lie flats which are uncomfortable. But should really matter much for the short 2 hour hop to HKG. From MXP you should be getting the B772ER which is a newer aircraft (oldest one being 2006) and has already the more comfortable 2nd gen lie flats.

agrflyer: sorry just realized, TG is already operating the A346 into MXP now, but some flights are on the A345, so it pays to choose carefully, although in J i prefer the seats on the B772ER
Thanks for your explanations. Before I bocked the flight I doubblechecked this becaus I did not now that TG is going to operate the A346 into MXP but I have confirmed seats in F on all legs (A346 and B744). This is definetly a way to visit friends in Asia

ThaiA345,
I'm eager to read about your CGK-SUB private plane flights. When I fly over Java to SUB, Yogya or Solo, I always seem to get some turbulence before landing, not my favorite part. But volcanos views are unreal !

Great! Remember in F on the A346, get rows 2A or 2K. Row one is near the galley and you will always get annoying light from the galley which bothers me when I want to sleep. On the B744 seats 1A and 1K are the ones to go for. Good luck !

Hi Enzo
Actually turbulence occurs every time when it below 3000 feet in central and east Java, for reasons I am not too sure. Will post the first one which was on an Piaggio Avanti II and the one I took last week was on the Citation XLS+. WIll post them in the next few days! Stay tuned.

I'll stay tuned then, but first I'm off to my 2nd home in DPS tomorrow, on SQ333 from CDG (A380, yessss...)

hi thaia345
Thanks for a great report. Nice to see you had another great flight in F with TG!

Can you perhaps expand what you mean by the above? Do you mean TG's main route to Europe?
By way of reference, LHR also gets 2 daily TG 744 flights. Also, I imagine, given the already existing A380 competition from Asia/Australia to London - QF, SQ, and EK, I would have thought LHR will be one of the first A380 destinations for TG when theirs start arriving?

Quoting SASDC8 (Reply 16): Great!! I waiting for you to post these flights. The Piaggio is just such a great/wird looking aircraft
She's actually a cute little bird, and a quick one too. SOmetimes just looking at her, I feel like giving her a hug ahahha...most surprisingly, the cabin is as roomy as any light jet out there too
Quoting Palmjet (Reply 18): Can you perhaps expand what you mean by the above? Do you mean TG's main route to Europe?
Every airline has their main ' trunk/key destination' route, and when I spoke to TG senior staff, they do admit Frankfurt to tham is their main route into Europe followed by LHR.

Load levels on TG's current flights are much heavier on average into FRA than LHR, therefore it makes sense that TG would pick FRA as their first A380 destination, bearing in mind, initially it was LHR, but they reversed the decision about 3 mths back.
