After spending 6 wonderful days in Lake Tahoe and celebrating New Year I had to sleep "early" as my cousin was driving me to Reno to catch my 10:15am departure to San Diego and Houston. I woke up at 5:30am to take a shower a finish packing to my surprise it was snowing very hard!! At that point I knew it was going to be a long and stressful drive to Reno!!
Before leaving the hotel:

As mentioned above flight was schedule to leave Reno at 10:15, we leave the hotel/apartment in Lake Tahoe at 7 IIRC and start driving visibility was terrible, the snow keep coming hard, roads were cover in snow making the trip very slow! We finally arrived to Reno airport at 9:45am and to be honest I thought SWA personal was going to tell me "sorry but flight is closed or you missed the flight" or something like that. However they checked me in and my 2 bags with no problem and very fast! just 10 minutes after arriving to the airport I was at the security checkpoint and after that at the gate! just to realized that thanks to the heavy snow the inbound airplane coming from LAs Vegas was delayed. Anyway lets get down to business: The flights!
Flight SWA 2597 schedule to depart RNO at 10:15am and arriving San Diego at 12?? Really don't remember lol
So departure gate was B2 after crossing security I approach the windows near the gate just to see if the plane had arrived but no, it landed about 15 minutes after.
A classic 737 being deice:

Finally our 737 arriving to gate B2 from Las Vegas:

Coming in:

I believed not all the people deplaned in Reno, there were some continuing to San Diego! nice route LAS RNO SAN anyway boarding was call again group 2 at the front of the line thanks priority boarding!!
Another SWA 737 getting ready to depart:

We push straight to the back from the gate, and then the little deice truck approach and start the deicing of our plane, pretty cool it was my first time!

After deice we head to 16R for departure:

As we turned into the runway the engines spooled up and off the San Diego we were:

IIRC we climb FL370 or FL380 for the one hour and 30 mins flight to San Diego, here are more pictures:

Cleared of runway 27 with a United 757

we arrived at the gate and again told us to stay on board, almost all the passengers deplaned in San Diego at the plane we were only 6 or 7 persons, then they told us to sit as the new passengers to Houston were boarding and it was going to be a full flight.

we push backed again from the gate, security announcment and of to runway 27 we were, here wanting for a Delta MD90?

Blasting away from runway 27:

Over the pacific turning east towards HOU:

Finally after almost 3 hours we began our descent and approach into Hobby airport.

Flaring:

braking on the runway after arrival:

taxi to the gate

welcome to Hobby!

After arrival I had nearly 1 hour and 30 mins to kill before my 7:30pm departure back to Harlingen, I have something to eat a very tasty slide of pepperoni cheese pizza and then look for my gate and wait until boarding was call!
This time the flight was on a 737-300 and a very smooth flight back to the RIo Grande Valley I managed to take 2 pictures and then fall asleep as i was extremely tire:
departing 12R

Climbing away from HOU

Again great service from Southwest staff! really LUV flying with them! even after arriving Harlingen one of my bags didn't show up, SWA staff apologized they told us they were searching for the back and give me a $50 usd voucher to use in any flight! great!
the bag turns out that was left behind in HOU and the next day in the morning was in Harlingen.
Greetings!!
