Another month, another flight for me. This time I need to hop from city to city within Europe at a rate of a city a day, therefore I decided to charter a little Citation Bravo which will stay with me during my entire stay in Europe. My long haul runs as usual are with TG in F. Enjoy
Date: 01 Nov 2011
Route: Jakarta (CGK) - Kuala Lumpur (KUL)
Flight: Malaysia Airlines MH726
ETD: 0505
ETA: 0805
Seat: 2D (Golden Club / Business Class)
Aircraft: B737-400
Flight time: 1hr 50mins
Registration: 9M-MMD
1st Flight: 20 July 1992
Preflight
After arriving from KUL, I had to leave the airport for a half day meeting. But fortunately due to the floods, my meeting location was moved from town to the Novotel Airport Hotel which made things more convenient for me. When the meeting ended I still had about 5 hours before my flight, but I decided to head to the airport anyway as I can easily pass my time at the Royal First Lounge and also get a massage at the Royal Orchid Spa.
Exclusive Royal First Class Check In Area
By the time I had my massage and meal in the lounge, it was already 2 hours to go before boarding. I just walked around the airport a bit to kill time before heading back to the lounge where my valet took me to the waiting aircraft.
Meanwhile, more views of TG F Lounge and some meals I had in the lounge
Some views of Pier C and D at BKK
Inflight
Pretty light load today with 50 percent in F, and about 60 percent in J and Y. As usual nice to be in my usual confines of TG F.
One reason why I don’t really like seat 1K is the close proximity to the galley and when asleep the galley light can get quite annoying too
Menu and Inflight Mags
After departure meal service quickly commenced and after the meal I was feeling really tired so I decided to go to bed and managed to get about 8 hours of sleep.
Bed just made and ready for me to doze off to slumberland
Woke up to sounds of breakfast being served and after breakfast I freshened up and relaxed.
Some final cabin pics
Porridge for breakfast
Soon enough we were on final descent into ZRH. Another great flight by TG.

As I had chartered G-JBLZ for the next 4 days, I will fly a leg a day with her, so I will just keep my narration pretty short. Basically, the aircraft is a Cessna Citation Bravo and I leased her from 247 Jets that are based out of Southend Airport. Overall I had a great experience a flight with the crew who were extremely courteous and helpful.
Tarmac @ ZRH, my bird was delayed by almost 3 hours due to some delay on an earlier leg where she had to drop off some pax in Cyprus.
There she is, all mine for the next 4 days

Its really nice to be back onboard the B777-300ER which are leased from Jet Airways. Flight is full in all classes and this is when it really doesn't matter on this bird due to the privacy doors in the F suites.

Thai's 777-300ER is the airplane I like best. Even though I only fly in economy class, the legroom is good, the service is good and there is PTV for every seat. They are my first choice when I fly BKK-NRT-BKK.
On the picture over Paris with the Eiffel Tower in the background, the tall building in the foreground is the Concorde Lafayette Hotel in Porte Maillot. My sister and I stayed there when we went to Paris. It has great views of Paris.

Hi
Nice trip report, enjoyed reading it! Nice to get to sample TG F on the 340 and the 777! The ex-Jet airways FC cabin looks better in my opinion than the original TG F! Nice to see you got a nice amount of private jets as well!

Thanks for reading, yes thats true, the 9W leased aircraft has a much better F cabin than TG's own F. And sadly on the A380 coming online next year, TG will also have non private F seats .....for the private jet its actually cheaper as I shared the cost between 4 friends and we had to travel a city a day in 4 days..so much cheaper than buying domestic J/C intra europe ticket.

Quoting thaia345 (Reply 13): Actually my pick for regional is GA...because of superior inflight products, especially on the B738
For long haul, its TG,CX and SQ in that order
yes indeed.. GA is the best for domestic & regional but.. if it long haul flight and i'm on GA if have to flown on J hahaha lol
TG & SQ is excellent but if im traveling J on CX with the old seats.. i think i will get claustrophobic & scared at the same time haha lol :-S

Believe it or not, on GA new A332 J seats, there are also 2 versions. on my previous trip to Hong Kong there was a difference in the J seats on outbound and inbound flights. Outbound CGKHKG was PK-GPM (with a much more comfortable J seat) and coming back was PK-GPK with the older but still nice J seat.

I absolutely hate CX's regional J products, its the worst out there amongst the Asian carries, maybe actually on par with MH's older offerings too. DOes CX actually have a plan to upgrade their regional premium products?

Really? I didn’t know that at all.. I thought that GA J seat on the A332 were all the same.. But I was wrong.. Maybe PK-GPK was the canceled airbus for HU and PK-GPM was for GA from the start of building the aircraft.. haha

I think their regional J product is more better than the Long haul herring bone one :P well i hope they did upgraded it.. but i hope they did not upgraded that seats with he herring bong one.. if they did. i better off with GA / TG or maybe SQ
