Hello everybody! After years of reading everyones wonderful trip reports, I decided to write my very first one. Please go easy on me! Since it's my first time, I'm going to keep it short and sweet and rely mostly on the photos to do the talking for me. So here we go!

A friend and I were getting hungry for a taste of In-N-Out Burger, and since we don't have them in Denver (yet) we decided to take a day trip to LAX and walk to the famous burger place by the airport. We'd only have about 2 hours in LA, so we had to make it a quick trip.

Boeing 757-200

The spacious main terminal at Denver International Airport (DIA)

The screen departure monitor at the gate

The gate agent was nice enough to put us in Economy Plus. Lots of legroom! Seat 14D for me, aisle seat. I let my friend have the window seat, 14F, with nobody in the middle. Interesting that there was no row 13 on this aircraft!

Beverage service. Ginger Ale for me

Getting closer to LA. When my friend went to use the lavatory, I took a quick picture from his window seat

Pulling into the gate. The old LAX tower and an Airbus in the new (old) CO colors

Having only a backpack, we exited the terminal and started our 15 minute walk to In-N-Out. We only had 2 hours to make our flight back to Denver, so we were kind of in a hurry. There's a beautiful rose garden by the old control tower and a small park/911 memorial behind these signs

Since we were in a hurry and the line for In-N-Out was long, and with all the excitement of watching the planes landing, I forgot to take a picture of my burger and fries! Sorry! A pic of the restaurant...

...and my drink

We sat outside and watched the planes land for about 30 minutes. We wanted to be back at the airport an hour before departure, so we headed back to LAX for the return flight home.

We showed up at the gate about 20 minutes before departure. They were calling our names. No Economy Plus this time and it was a full flight. My friend and I both ended up with middle seats. Still relatively decent leg room though

A Coke with lime and Three Perfect Days in Mexico City, in the November issue of Hemispheres

When the lady sitting next to me went to use the lavatory I snuck a quick picture of the passing mountains below

And that's it! All our flights left and arrived on time with no problems. Channel 9 was available on both flights which was great. I hope all my photos show. I'm using Photobucket so I hope that's a good photo hosting site to use. Could I use Picasa also? Thanks again for reading and have a great day!
