So let's try this again...
First report I had to have deleted since I am still getting used to this. I figured out what photos I want to put in it and what ones to omit. Fortunately some of the photos were blurry so it made the decision making easy. But you cant keep me down!
Backround:
This past fall I had to go to BOS for a meeting and hopped on Jetblue from BOS to BUF on the E-190. Was going to fly out of ROC on the CRJ-200 but wan't really feeling a smaller jet so I huffed it the extra hour past ROC to catch this flight. Since I didn't really think to bring my camera for a meeting and the weather report the day before said it was going to be cloudy all photo's are from my cellphone.
The added bonus was to see where I live from 22,000 feet. Most of the time I fly out early and it's dark or the weather is not cooperative so this was a special trip for me.
Today's equipment... the E190
Takeoff with a nice shadow of our plane
A view of Lake Erie and Downtown Buffalo
The first of the Lakes... Conesus, Hemock and a bit of Honeoye and Canadice showing.
A great view of Hemlock and Canadice Lakes
Coming up to Keuka Lake
Coming up on "my" lake, the mighty Seneca
A vice view of Seneca Lake. See that little point sticking out into the water in the middle? I live right down there amongst the vineyard and wineries.
At this point the number one inflight crewmember did ask me polietly to turn off the phone even though it was in airplane mode. I followed the rules..... Almost. On finals I did get one last shot.....
A view of the runways and the harbor.
The flight back that night was nothing special. After a day of meetings, dinner and a few Sam Adams I passed out on the flight home.

You should have come last weekend...we had the Chili Festival! Now you'll have to wait for May for the big Ithaca festival when we celebrate that all the (undergrad) students have left!

The greeter has a Masters in English, Your waiter has a PhD in Biology, the cook is a 5th year PT major, the bartender has his PhD in philosophy (from 1987) and the dishwasher is a Sophmore pre-med major.

Well that is why I said "undergrad" but yes there are a lot of over-educated/under utilized people in Ithaca!
