Welcome A.netters to my 3rd TR and first for 2012!!

After the "short" trips in Nov and Dec 2011 to Russia (Moscow and St.Petersburg):

TR1: 1st TR "Hello Moscow" ZRH-DME-ZRH With AB & HG (by B738FlyUIA Jan 7 2012 in Trip Reports)

TR2: ZRH-SVO-LED X-MAS'11 Rtn With SU (by B738FlyUIA Jan 23 2012 in Trip Reports)

In January my Girlfriend and I had two options for our holiday a) Hainan or b) Vietnam. Both for us where very interesting and decided for Vietnam ( for more relaxing time ). Not only my passion for traveling and flying but also to spend a great time in a new place where both of us haven't been before. In our planning phase there where a couple of things to do: the reservation for the Trip was a matter of a few days and the confirmation arrived very fast (Russian Travel Agency) and surprised about the speed of working! This was then 6 weeks prior our departure for our trip.
As you might have been reading my previous TR's there was always (on two flights to Russia) issues with my luggage. After a while of planning and thinking what is really necessary we decided to have only hand luggage. Quite special for almost a two week trip and didn't want to risk that arrive in Vietnam with nothing!!!
For me there was a Visa needed for Vietnam and had to send my Passport to Bern. Filled the application, added the photo, included the 80CHF (aprox. 100$ or 55Euro) and within 5 working day's I received it. Simply amazing!!! As our flight on the way back from SGN would arrive arround 19.40 LT DME, the flights from DME to ZRH had left, so needed the Hotel and was booked over the Internet and where almost set to go. Ru Visa was easy and needed two entries in to Russia and arrived about a week prior depature. There was really on the time to wait.... and couple of day's before we left all tickets arrived by email. So where are set to go!!

To let you know there will be a couple of parts of the TR and will post them all in the same Thread

Due to a 22.20 departure from DME I was on the search for the flights from ZRH. Direct with LX was due to times not convinient at all. AB finally had the best from the times and even there was a 3h40min Transfer in TXL I didn't mind at all!! This would give me the little spotter time (I hope). So flights where as follow:

Booked Companies:

AB/BER AirBerlin
UN/TSO Transaero

Our Way: (AB) ZRH - TXL - DME (UN) DME - SGN - DME (AB) DME - DUS - ZRH according to gcmap.com you will find the flight as followed with many miles on the way!!!!

As checking TSO Website and the DME Departure Information I was really happy about the decision for this holiday as it gave me "THE FIRST FLIGHT" on a 777 "yeah"   . Ok, others been till now a couple of times on a A380!! I was well excited to find the experience on a product that didn't know!!! The last 10 day's aprox departure was checking on Flightradar to see which 777 would be on it's way to SGN.. There are several of them in UN's Fleet from SQ & former VG.

The day before the flight I did the Online Check-In with AB that worked very well as usual, printed the BoardingPass for the first Sector ZRH - TXL. TXL - DME would be only in Berlin possible due security reason's and Ru Visa check!

The day started at 03.05 and more then enough time for the flight. Like in my first report from my hometown I took the first train to the airport that arrived at 05.00. Waiting with a lot of time ahead took the Coffee at the Bye Bye Bar that also provided Free Internet close by on some comfy seats!!

I was actually hoping very much that since the New Rebuilt Terminal and have seen AB there that will get the chance to have a closer look. After Passing Controls I found my self in the new part and was really happy to see the changes that have been made. They have done a great work. Checking the Departure screen they where already boarding. So I headed to the Gate B38!

Boarding was done by 06.25 and doors where closed...

- HB-IOQ getting ready for DUS as AB8119

- getting ready for DeIcing

- 06.42 taxing to Rwy 34 and Good bye for almost next two week's ZRH!!!

I knew very well to choose the F seat as from my trip to DUS past November I missed some really good sunrise photos!!! On this I to also a chance to take some photos from the Alps!!! Simply lovely!!!! Or??

During the flight there was only beverages served and a Muffin or Bretzel to choose... So I decided for the Bretzel and a coffee that I thought was really small comparing it with other TR's here on the net!!! The flight was really short! There was no Flight Entertainment at all and the only they showed on the screen's above was the seaftey video.. Also a little later as made the cabin photo I catch one screen hanging down while all others where up...

There where some great view's and also patterns from the clowds that I liked very much!!!!

07.34 "Toilet Pic's" and where done with the IPhone... and there the announcement that will be landing in 25min...

A pity that on decent and arrival didn't manage due clouds a view over Berlin as it was the first time into TXL. Only just before landing there was a little to be seen!!!

TXL.JPG" border="0"/>

The fist part of my way has come to a end of a very good flight and not to forget that on this Flight the Cabin Crew (Swiss) where super friendly and would give them for the Service and a Ontime Depature and Landing 10points!!!

Deboarding was nothing unussual and weather: light rain with +6C

After I left the A/C I couldn't believe that within 90seconds I was standing in the departure Hall!! That is for sure my personal BEST!!!

Besides Transaero with the 777-200, I've seen also S7 (Sibir), Aeroflot and Aerosvit @ SGN, all operating the 767-300; S7 are charterflights, I've learned, but SU and VV are operating scheduled flights there...

don't throw away tomorrow !

Thank you!! Will follow very soon. UN has SGN for Winter destination.

Sorry that is rather little late, but from connection in Vietnam the Vids could not be added due very slow connection. Here you find the ZRH departure and TXL arrival Movie - enjoy:

Let‘s continue in TXL:

In the mean time I was going to the C Terminal for Check-In in Row's C66 - 68. There where not so many people as they started around 9.40. For the mean time I was getting a coffee and then walking around the airport to see if there is something to catch on camera. As from the weather there was really nothing special.

- that is really huge !!!

A little from arround the Terminal

Some little spotting but there was really nothing so much interesting to see...

- HB-IOY going back to ZRH, thanks for the ride to TXL and see you soon....

- Hello LX... I‘ve seen you before......

As time come for check-in I was in a little que waiting as a guy was checking the Visa and Passport, he's collegue that was with him asked me then: I have a Boarding Card (Hä?????   ) I was thinking to ask him when the comes to laugh...  http://www.virovai.com/airliners.net/03.zrh-sgn-zrh/DSC_0085.jpg

AB's ground handling Agent GLOBE GROUND had a new System installed for Check-In and it was not working... was waiting at the desk for about 10min till a guy came and fixed it within seconds (non IT) So without luggage I received my BoardingPass and headed again to the fresh air little walking!! Coming up to Boarding time Security and Passport control was done very fast.. so there was the time to wait till had to step on a bus to the Aircraft!! There was a great chance to take some photos and then there was the announcement that the bus is ready!!!! I managed to get on the first one, arriving at the Aircraft the L2 Door was closed and boarded via L1.. half of the passengers where standing under the rain that gave me the chance of some pic's!!!! Getting up the stairs with about 20 people behind me they opened the L2 door. My thoughts came real I went down the aircraft to my seat 27A and others boarding the plane in the rear getting to row's in the front... That was a little mess really and nobody was really thinking to help people pass by!!! Even the Flight Staff didn't do anything about it!! There was simply no coordination with the boarding.

This also cased the delay of getting us on the way to DME,With a delay for pushback we managed to get of the ground!!! Well, the flight was okay, as there is nothing special to mention of the trip in this sector. Only that the Cabin Staff had more interests to sell some Duty Free items and the second coffee that asked for never arrived!!! This is only minor for sure.

From Flightradar I was hoping to see some traffic for Air 2 Air Pic's... but there was simply nothing.... Entertainment wise it's usual with AB, you need to buy (a fee for rent) headphones. Also noticed from my first trip to DME with AB past November that they haven't changed the correct arrival time. There is no wintertime in Russia and showed: Arr, 16.18 (correct a hour later). Guessed there where about 85% of all Passengers Russian and simply there where no announcements. Simplöy German and English!!

What made me very happy from all the flight was the arrival and decent in to DME. After some left and right turns I could see a major part of DME airport. It's simply lookes wonderful. What interesting approach!!

- a „WOW“ effect as see DME Airport on the Approach !!! Simply fantastic and made me happy to see this view!!!!

Coming up to the most interesting part of this trip we where heading to the Check-In. Actually it's wasn't another 1h30min till the registration would be open. At the UN Desk in the Departure Hall they told us to use the "Kiosk Check-In" well actually in plain English "Self Service Check-In". According to UN's Website we have been looking what seat's would be best for us! Showing there a 2-4-2 Seat config (UN Website Link: Source: Transaero Website 777 Seatplan

in Y we wanted 30 A+B. At the Self Check-In we where assisted by local UN Staff... within minutes we got our Boarding Passes. Not the Seats we wanted as on the display was showing a 3-3-3 Config in Y and decided for 61 A+B or maybe that would have been only for EI-UNX??? Still there was about 5hours left till our flight.. so decided to go to the МУ-МУ (translated from Russian: Cow noise) Café Shop and have some Butterbrot and Red Russian Caviar with coffee. Pity there is no photo!!!!

After we where heading to Concourse B, through security and got 3 stamps on our boarding passes. That is really a way to employ staff. Then heading to Gate 11 where our aircraft was already waiting!!!!! And there she was is..... Hello 777, Hello EI-UNT.....

Finally the time came as we where boarding the aircraft at 21.38. We made our selfs down the bridge and in to the 777. I was very excited to take a look inside the beauty and was very special for me. Yes, others have flown the 777 years ago and might be nothing special anymore. For me it was the first ride in it and very much special. We took our seats at the far end and the seat 61C was not taken. So that gave us the little more space for the next 9hours.

Pushback was very early and there was a little deicing to be done..

Simply amazing the trust for take off!!!

(sorry for the bad quality)

The TakeOff felt so much powerful and after a speeding down the Runway it brought us to the dark sky over southern part of Moscow and then the left turn directing Asia. It was a real shame that the Flight Entertainment Map didn't work at all. There was really no chance to know where you are, Flight Level, Speed or anything. Only a short announcement from the Captain in Russian and English.

I asked the Cabin Crew if could have a Safety Card for the TR. So not would save me the photos but also a little remember on the first 777 flight. Thank you Anna!!!!

The Onboard Magazin is really great... there are 187 pages and almost a bible with all kind of information‘s about travel, wine, cosmetics, electronics, Transaero Fleet, Connections in DME by Bus, Train and so on.....

A little while after we where served with some drinks and peanuts.

Till the supper was served was another 20min to pass and there was even the choice. We took the Chicken with pasta, a salad, and some cheese.... Was really very tasty and surprised about the quality of the food!! Pity that according to Airlinequality - Transaero the experience has not been really very good.

After where served with some coffee and a sweet cheese cake and chocolate topping.

Little more then 2hours in to the flight the cabin lights where dimmed and we tried to get some little sleep. Having 3 seats for us made it more compftabe!!! All passengers where provided with slippers and eye covers!!

During the night the where beverages self served in the kitchen behind. A selection of tomato, orange and apple jus & mineral water. Tea of Coffee could be ordered by the staff.

From Moscow the time change was +3hours to Vietnam and around 7am (5h in to the flight) the new day was going to begin with a sunrise.

Little under 3hours to arrival the cabin lights went on and was served the breakfast. Bliny (Russian Pancakes) with jam, fruits, cheese and johgurt with a jus of vitamins. Outside it was almost full daylight and still not knowing where we are I took the the pic with the leg space. For Y on a 777 not bad at all and it was provided with feet rest option from the seat in front.

Our decent in to Vietnam was around 9.48 and they where collecting the blankets, pillows and the trash such as cups and other things. Most of the pax including us was getting changed from winter clothes to summer... getting the scarf, hand gloves, shoes and jackets stowed in to the hand luggage and ready with t-shirt, short paints and flip flops... At one moment I thought the scenery would be like in a outlet with discount prices!!

Getting closer to ground and approaching SGN the szenery was really interesting. The Town: Ho Chi Minh City gave me the impression of landing in LCY

Touchdown was just 10min behind schedule and was okay for the time they needed to deice in DME. On the way taking to the gate made some nice short spotting

Really great to see some other planes and livery's then the standard you get at home in ZRH

Arriving at the gate another race would begin as it seamed all wanted to get off at the same time. Till it was our turn the business class was first and then the rest through the L2 door. This was the best I could get from de-boarding EI-UNT after our 7686km trip from DME / 9983km from ZRH and 28 hours and 45min since started the trip from home. Nobody will complain when you arrive with +35C  http://www.virovai.com/airliners.net/03.zrh-sgn-zrh/DSC_0206.jpg

I really was amazed about the arrival hall in SGN, looks so huge, clean and shining with very nice flowers:

Customs was very quick and there about 20-30 counters. All signs are very clear and then got out of the terminal to a little tropical heat of +35 and a temp difference to DME that was -7!!!

- how terrible to walk of the plane in those slippers... maybe they simply forgot there flip flops at home. This did bring a huge laugh to my Girlfriend and me http://www.virovai.com/airliners.net/03.zrh-sgn-zrh/DSC_0214.jpg

The trip to SGN came to a end, but there was the Bus Transfer to Phan Thiet and had to wait a hour till it arrived. Former name of Ho Chi Minh City was Saigon and on the streets it's simply crazy. The Town has 10 Million people living and I really don't know how many have a motorbike, but take a own look at the following movie:

(the guy speaking is Pawel, a Russian Guy that provided us with information about the transfer and infos about the country) even if you mute the sound it‘s very interesting to watch

After 5-6 hours in the bus we finally arrived in our Hotel in Phan Thiet. The distance was only 200km but leaving the City was not that easy and on the way there are many parts where only 40km/h is allowed.

Very cool - I wonder what drives traffic from Russia to Vietnam? Mainly touristy or are there business links? Also how was the IFE? I see there are PTVs - so enough selection? It's really too bad the moving map didn't work - that's usually the best part! The food looks pretty decent though.

Got that right! I couldn't believe the traffic in SGN - it's way more insane than anything even in India. Once you get the hang of crossing streets it's pretty fun though - the bikers are awesome at weaving their way right around you!

Our Resort

A few words about the Resort, all was very clean and there security all the time. Staff was very friendly and with English language absolute no problem. Also they provided a 24h room service. There was free Wi-Fi all over the Resort and was possible to surf the Internet even at the beach!! Every day they cleaned the room and changed everything like bedding and towls. Offered towls for the beach and flip flops and many more accessoires in the room! Free coffee, tea and mineral water everyday in the room.

Over all I must say for the price for two people in the Resort all is more then fair... only eating supper in a other Restaurant is less the price then within the Resort!! But was a very relaxing holiday and almost no kid‘s screaming or doing other noises!!!

one way down to beach

one of two pools with yaccuzi

pathway to the reception

one of 3 small fountains

one of a couple small welcome flowers in our room. Had them on the bed and table with a very nice and special arrangement.

Kites on a windy day

vietnamese coffee with condence milk... for me this was just a little to strong from flavor...

the one main street passing our hotel...

special flower

Barracuda Fish with Salad, ginger and Shrimp Soup.... I so much miss the dishes from there as all is so fresh and tasty...

don‘t remember the name, but the taste of Seafood is simply wonderful and fresh!!!!

A rice dish with champion filling for breakfast... I really miss that.......

The Spa Resort near to hotel... with wonderful massages and sauna. And a very fair price for sure!!!

a special drink, snake with scorpion.... many love it, just simply can‘t imagine it... but no, I didn‘t try it... Would you?

- Yes, they are mainly tourists and price is very attractive for the destination. I don't know about business even if not mistaken had the Imperial Class up front between L1 & L2.

Quoting 9w748capt (Reply 8):
Also how was the IFE?

After some stunning 10 days it was time to get ready for our return trip. The evening before our flight we where informed that there transfer bus to Ho Chi Minh was going to leave at 02.45. (ICON) Our "luggage" was packed in 5min as we only had the Rucksack with us and enough really for our stay! Alarm was set for 02.00 and made the coffee for us before leaving our room to the reception. There where some other people waiting also and got our "breakfast" with some water and fruits for the way. With Wi-Fi that was available in all the Resort I managed to catch the UN Flight from DME-SGN. That would be our's for the return leg today:

- Arrival information from Domodedovo Arrival site

Our Bus arrived 1with one our delay and the transfer would be around 5-6hours. Thought that the incoming flight would be there before us....  After a 3 stops on the way we arrived in SGN Airport at 09.00.

- A Burger King before the Arrival hall‘s

The checkin was rather busy and there where 6 counters to handle all Economy and Business pax for the flight... Within 30min we had our boarding passes and when through the passport and security controls. I can only guess but from all the pax on the flight I was maybe the only non Russian!!!!

Taking a little rest in a Café we spent the last "Dong" (Vietnamese Dollars) and hell it's expensive!!!! During the holidays I was getting confused with the money they had... 1 US $ is 21'000 Dong. So if you pay something that is 29$ for example 609'000 Dong. The only good thing is, that they have no coins, that would have absolute made it totally confusing!!! Coffee at airport such as Beer and others are 4-5 times more then in the local shops (European prices). For a Coffee we payed 1.5$ and 0.33l Beer was around 1.7$ in Restaurants!!

- This money is worth 0.50$

Before our Gate I managed to do some little spotting and see some exotic ones also. Was surprised that our 777 wasn't there and arrived at 11.17.

Departure and DutyFree in SGN

- Our Flight Crew can be spotted in the front row. 2 Captains and 1 FO having a rest after there DutyFree Shopping

Little spotting while waiting for boarding

- we managed to get from the hotel before UN561 from DME arrived. It was a hour late..

- LCC JetStar 737

- Mandarin Embraer with the beauty taxing in the background to Gate 19

- Malaysian 737 back home to Kuala Lumpur

- EvaAir 777

- Cathay 333

- another 333 departing SGN

At 11.55 the Boarding was started and didn't think that they would manage to pushback in time. So it was time to say "Goodbye Vietnam and thank you for a wonderful and great time"

There is only 7km difference from gcmap - so what is really correct....

As I had my first 777 Flight on the way out this was my first flight from Asia in daylight to Europe. We did know that it will be a very long day for us and at time of the pushback for us the first 12hours have passed.

Climing out over Ho Chi Minh City that seamed to me not on regular pitch we got to our first crusing altitude of 32'000ft after 25min from takeoff. At least I was happy that the Entertainment System did work on this 777 and could follow the flight with it's information. Our route was taking us direct to Bangkok where we passed slightly north.

I was not sure at all when they served us the first meal to call it lunch or late breakfast. As from the hotel provided breakfast was a desaster for a 4 Star Hotel. Actually the only issues that was not pleasant during our stay.

Our „lunch“ some meat with potatoes and vegtables (the carrots where not that good) but the rest of the meal with salads where very tasty.

Back to the flight: Our route took us then direct to Dehli where we made a left turn that was below 270º. Why I really don't know and could only speculate that there are maybe some zone's that one should not fly through!!! Also noticed that the speed of flight varied from little more then 900km/h down to 707km/h. Passing the Hymaliaya's I wished to get a nice shot but didn't see anything!!! Getting back on track the flight path was direct to Kabul where the speed was increased back and over 900km/h (Gound speed)

Getting close to Aral Sea the supper was served. We where served a Omlette with a sausage & some veg. The taste was good and was eaten very quickly. Like on the previous flight we had many beverages to choose from. Was kind a Omlette with a sausage & some veg. The taste was good and was eaten very quickly. Like on the previous flight we had many beverages to choose from. With some coffee and that was about it for the flight. Again the same procedures about blanket and pillow's and the decent started in to DME

Very smooth the PIC got in on track for the Rwy 32R at DME:

with a genlte touchdown we vacated by the applause of pax!!! "It's typical on Ru - Flights" So the same Game started as many pax stand up to gather there things and wanted to walk to the L2 door before arriving at Gate/Stand. After some discussion with the Cabin Staff all where seated again.

LX HB-IOC at Gate 3

We where on a Remote Stand and de-boarded from L4 down the stairs and in to the bus. I just managed to get a quick shot under the wing and the tail:

- Sorry for poor quality

The same was again with Passport control just this time I was asked where I'm arriving from. I answered Vietnam. She looked at me and thought maybe: What a guy is doing coming from Vietnam in to Russia with a swiss passport!!! All was good and where through in no time. Took the Bus to our Hotel Ramada "that where staying only one night" and arrived there just under 24hours from waking up in Vietnam. The Checkin to the Hotel was rather fast, needed my passport and they had the reservation I did on the 23rd January. I payed for the night 4130 Rubel, that is around 119CHF for a double bed. What really surprised me that they didn't provide a Shuttle Bus from the Airport to the Hotel for free. This would have been a additional 20CHF/person and also there is no breakfast included. Also this is with a additional fee of 20CHF/person and find this rather odd for a 4* Hotel.

- B777: very positive surprised about the plane and was so much enjoying to fly in it!! For sure will book a trip again that will take me on this wonderful bird again. Simply love this great aircraft!
- Transaero: from the service to food on the longhaul flights I would give 9.5 out of 10 points. Only on the flight back they didn't seem so well organized. In anyway I would recommend UN for longhaul again!! Even with a delay of the aircraft they managed to get all on board and leave in time.

Well, for this time the most intersting of the trip to Vietnam has ended as arrived in the Ramada Hotel that is very close located to DME. Will continue soon with our next two flight back to ZRH with some great spotting in DME before depature!!! So for the moment a shower and good night!!!!

Hope that you enjoyed it till now.... Thank's for reading!!

to be continued......

Thank you... and is really the pleasure for sharing the experience for those short days!!

I had the same thought about this also.... there was absolute nothing to complain about UN

I'm sure that will be very interesting to squeeze almost 800 pax to a plane and read a report of them..

Very much wish to go again with TSO..... so might get another report before the A380's arrive.....

Internet „Cafe“ looks really special but didn‘t check my mails.....

No, it is a kind of automatic fortune-teller. You insert VND 10,000 and enter your data (date of birth...) and hit enter and it will tell you your life.

Waking up rather early as there was still the Vietnam time change in us got rather quickly ready and left the hotel for the airport.

Only from the Hotel the Shuttle Bus is free (thank you Ramada) arrived in the regular Restaurant Café to have our breakfast.

After some coffee and little walking around the Airport we finally got our Boarding passes from the Checkin Counter and headed to the correct Section of the Airport. It was the same area like we left for SGN. So the Bar's and Shop's where familiar to us.

I had the great chance to do some spotting and DME is really great. Seen again like in SGN some other liveries then the usual and maybe boring ones at the home airport. UN is really major Customer at DME and also saw our 777 EI-UNU from last night's arrival from SGN parked in the same position with covers over the engines!!!

little behind the 737 that is pushing back!!

- SQ 77W arriving from IAH

TSO B744 departing to CUN

LX A321 arriving from ZRH

- TSO B773 to KHV

another B773 from TG

- TSO arriving from VVO

The arrival of the plane was a little late and looking at the ramper's working around the aircraft made a busy but good impression to get all done as soon as possible. The boarding was announced and a bunch of people where standing to board the plane. There where some families with kids that boarded first and then the rest. I must say after flying in and out of DME in the past I never come over such a miserable ground staff that took your ticket to scan and give you the small part of the boarding pass.
Getting on the plane all was as usual on AB. Push-Back was little late and with a high speed taxi down to Rwy XXL we had to wait for a 737 from UN to land.

- Good bye DME..... thank you.... and see you soon!!!!!!

arrived from Tumen, Russia

- EK A345 to DXB..

Trans Soviet you are clear to land.....

The flight was okay. Time seamed to fly fast and our decent was just after 17.00 local. Seldom I have the pressure in my ears but in this decent it was rather heavy!! The PIC did decent very fast and there where almost no turns on arrival. Passed through the clouds, flaps and touchdown early to schedule. Effective flight time was less then announced.

Transfer in to Terminal B was quick and there a small joke with the Passport Control "Bundespolizei" and made some photos of the Concourse B as there was about 2hours to wait for the connection Flight.

With the time I was getting tired and just wanted to leave for home!!! Actually it has been a long day and another -3hours on the watch. Till there was the boarding time and little walking around the Terminal and almost falling a sleep even with some coffees Boarding started at 20.55. One of the first to get on the plane and to take our seat's!! I was little surprised that the cleaning "crew" didn't manage to do all there job cause in the seat pockets there was still some garbage. Actually I didn't mind this at all cause we where on the last leg and there simply 445km of the 20218km from our trip to arrive in ZRH. From the Airport it self I very much DUS comparing it with TXL that is really old fashion!!! Never less the Ground Staff is more friendly.

I managed to grab a Swiss Newspaper and there the Sport Section to read about what was going on in past days with the playoff's of hockey and soccer!!! But soon attended to my TR and wanted to continue.

Even recharged my battery of the Camera it was getting close to empty. As have done on all sectors a takeoff and landing video I save the last power for moments of touchdown in ZRH.

The flight was very quiet and no little turbolence at all!! There was the Entertainment System but didn't provide any information about the flight. Cabin Crew where very friendly and got one KitKat and a coffee. Will save it for coming Wednesday for Champions League!!
It was about 21.50 and felt we where going in to the decent for ZRH. Well, the announcement at 21.57 told that where on the way in to ZRH. Guess 445km on a A320 is like taking the Bus for one station.... 22.01 and from the Flight Deck only another 15min to go... I will be surprised to see on which Rwy will touchdown. Also will have to notice the Reg of the AC! In the worst case can fish it from Flightradar.

What about past Trip and 20218km: It has been a very interesting holiday and experience that will never forget!!! Sure one high light was the trip on the 777 and explore some Russian cuisine on Board. The time in Phan Thiet was like in Paradise and having all the time only Fish, Seafood and Vietnam Beer. For sure I would choose UN again for it's long haul and even there are some hours of transfer I really don't mind!! I found some interesting shops to buy some Models that are hard to get in Switzerland. For example a 1:100 B744 of UN for 12'000 Rubles that is aprox 350CHF and others.... There are some plans for another TR soon... where it will be is open for the moment and needs to be discussed about!!! But I hope that you enjoyed a little trip to Asia with some pix and vids. Sorry if the quality wasn‘t always as wished but there is maybe still some improvement to do. So any comments are very welcome.

Thank you again to read my TR!!!

Hi Zolti!

Nice report with nice pictures !

UN looks good here at least the food. IFE seems to be lacking a lot which is too bad but at least they had the air show map.

Looking forward to your next report!
