Hej, hej, dear readers, once again,

this story continues, where the last one:

How To Catch One World Sapphire Twice! (by FLIEGER67 Jul 1 2012 in Trip Reports)

has stopped abruptly, due to the upcoming number of pictures.
I´am on the walk for Stockholm-Central, to catch a bus for my new departure airport, no. 214 btw.:

Departure Airports II auf einer größeren Karte anzeigen

Till 200 is to follow here:

And here are all the latest flown routes:

Todays itinerary looks like this:

As usual, thanx to:

Well, there is this perfectly organized bus shuttle service called Flygbussarna. This company runs also for the closer to the city located, who knows how they call it this way, Stockholm-City-Bromma airport.
My ride to go now, 74.00 SEK, every 20 minutes, sure ok this way.

Service TF 009 operated by Malmoe Aviation
Scheduled: 11.00 // 11.55

You know, short nights and busrides call for a toll. So I remember a thousand of industrial buildings, large stores Ikea style and do-it-yourself shops very close to a visit in dreamland, till the bus stopped so it feels like, in the middle of all these buildings.

Captain Red has, so it seems, the same impression:

Up North From The BER Meet: FKB-TXL-ARN/BMA-UME (by CaptainRed Jun 16 2012 in Trip Reports)

Climbing up the small hill for the car park and yes, this is really an airport here
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201110.jpg
But don´t get me wrong, especially these chimney forced me to check it twice
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201112.jpg
Ok, this is Bromma airport, where you can see birds like this on scheduled flights, ahem, sorry, I´am still in dreamland!
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201111.jpg
Impressive, to say the least, when you follow such a number of domestic flights on the board
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201114.jpg
Malmoe Aviation catches my money here directly.
The fare ok from my point of view with 60.00 Euro´s oneway.
OLCI is on offer via the airlines website.
But I was not successful in the end.
It doesn´t work for me as the exotic stranger with the german passport flying domestic in Sweden!.
Anyway, it´s free seating, so no need to hurry, at least during check-in, that might change at the gate.
A nice young woman checked me in. Have I ever told you that I like these blonde, cute and nice swedish, ah, people!.
The boarding pass is one of these southern german style papers, just large enough to print out the details, but nothing else.
I should visit the Yellow Room now, ok with Diners
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201115.jpg
Not that it feels somewhat oldfashioned here
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201116.jpg
What about to fly these bird somedays?
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201118.jpg
The Yellow Room is much to my surprise spacious and not only yellow coloured
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201119.jpg
No question about the main operator here
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201120.jpg
Nice offers, sure ok with me
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201121.jpg
There is a functional kitchen available
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201122.jpg
Hey, what about to fly these green classic Saab in the distance somedays?
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201124.jpg
I should do it, definitely
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201125.jpg
Or maybe also these Albino longer brother
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201126.jpg
Yes, I should do this one also
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201127.jpg
Oh dear, how I like to count this bird also for the to-do-list, but sadly it´s never more possible by now
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201128.jpg
Ombordstigning from gate 1
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201130.jpg
Not that much people around in the late morning
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201132.jpg
I´ve expected an Avro RJ100 today
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201133.jpg
Four engines, ok
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201134.jpg
Under the wing, for sure
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201135.jpg
But, SE-DJO, much to my surprise and warm welcomed, this is an RJ85
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201136.jpg
Leg no. 9 on type, a new registration for the books.
In service with Crossair, Swiss International, Swiss European, Transwede and Malmoe since 23.04.1993.
Three 85´s only are in the fleet actually.
Leaving BMA for now, see you again next month, hopefully
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201137.jpg
11.05. am, close to ontime, 45 minutes for "Scanwings" from the shorty 1668 meters runway "Three-Zero".
Sunny, clear sky, 13 degrees, how I like it this way.
Cockpit crew is from Sweden. The captain with a nice welcome in a somewhat routine style during boarding.
No route or flightlevel info.
Countryside swedish style
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201138.jpg
Cabin crew is three female FA´s.
One elder, nice,
one elder, ok
and one young cute, good looking girl with a somewhat rough style.
It seems she knows not more than two words,
"Kaffe" and "Tack"!.
Service, much more than expected with a sandwich, free drinks and hot towels
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201139.jpg
Legroom is not impressive here in the last row
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201140.jpg
But anyway with a load very close to 100% and the two seater 18A with the aisle open, it´s sure ok this way.
And the dark grey leather seats are well used to say the least
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201142.jpg
The load is a total mixed bag of travellers today.
Some biz people in suits, a good number of Malmoe staff and lot´s of whoeverknowswhy travellers of all ages.
Cruising above lakes and wood and just for a change, wood and lakes and so on
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201143.jpg
Ok, hopefully
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201144.jpg
Safety card Malmoe style
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201145.jpg
The cabin
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201146.jpg
How I like this view
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201147.jpg
Touchdown at the 3299 meters "Two-One", close to ontime, 12.00 am and I´am once again impressed, not in a positive way to say the least, how fast the weather situation changes.
A strong cold wind here, partly cloudy and 7 degrees only, shudder!.
Parked on the GOT apron
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201149.jpg
Two engines close up
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201150.jpg
Bye now for Malmoe Aviation
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201152.jpg
I´ve been to GOT before, but not to the lounge, so something new to check here.

Service Lufthansa LH 2943 operated by Lufthansa City Line
Scheduled: 14.00 // 15.30

This is not the first time for me in Gothenburg, you know.
But anyway I´ve decided to go out in the public for check-in.
No OLCI this time?.
Not at all, after several tries by mobile.
You got sometimes a little bit annoyed with the state of you´re flight, when things like this happened.
Also the self service kiosk don´t want to see me today.
Seat selection was done in advance, thanx to the Senator status and my seat was fixed.
The elder female agent at the desk told me everything ok with the flight and my reservation.
Also no gate or something else to notice on the screen
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201153.jpg
90.00 Euro´s from my account migrated to Lastminute.de, not cheap but the most convenient way to fly down for DUS and finally reaching STR later in the day.
Is there really a lounge here?.
Ah, yes, it is!.
Well, status traveller life is sometimes interesting.
Entered the lounge with a nice elder lady at the desk.
One of these very important business men short on my tracks.
Me, trying to locate the boarding pass in the endless deeps of my travel bag and don´t go succesful for the first attempt. Mary Poppins, you know. The whole world is in these bag and I locate thing´s that I dont really remember, but not the boarding pass.
The veeeeeeery important biz guy decides to don´t waste any time and takes me over with an really arrogant look. Presenting his boarding paper.
The lounge lady:
"Sir, it´s not possible to visit the lounge without Star Gold status".
He: "I´ve been here before for several times".
She: "Sorry it´s not possible with your actual status".
And looking for me.
I´am successful by now with the boarding pass search and rescue mission!.
"Welcome Mr. Felger, enjoy your stay with us".
Imagine his face when I´am walking by and he turns the other way around.
Not to talk about a guest invitation this time

No change with the weather, partly cloudy, 7 degrees and a bitter cold, strong wind
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201174.jpg
Cabin crew consists of one elder nice female and another, also elder ok female FA.

Routing is via Aalborg and Odense. No flightlevel info.
Cabin view with the bright grey, really well used leather seats

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/S1201/S1201178.jpg

Disembarking and just a view minutes later on the way for the homebase.

Sure, conclusions:
Malmoe Aviation BMA-GOT: Nice flight but cramped seating.
Lufthansa GOT-DUS: That´s the way it should be.
Lufthansa DUS-STR: I´am gonna miss these Contact F100´s.

Not that long to wait now for the next adventure,

Hi Markus,

Good to read part 2 of your Swedish trip. 7.5.12, I was flying myself but on the other side of the world!

Malmo Aviation and the RJ85 is a nice catch. Interesting that the plane is an ex LX bird. My first ever Avro flight was an LX RJ85 but I didn't note registrations back in those days.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
and lot´s of whoeverknowswhy travellers of all ages.

That sounds like my category.

2.20 Euro´s entrance fee. Is it really worth it?.
Any specials here to see?.

Markus, don't start! You know I don't like it when people say the entrance fee to the terrace is too much

I'm sure someone got a very well paid job out of that.

Asparagus, I can't stand them. They take over every menu in every restaurant.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
He apologized for the delay. The reason?.
Something what Contact is famous for!.
An aircraft change at STR due to technical reasons on the STR-DUS leg

Really? Now that does surprise me!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Just departed from "Two-Three-Left" above the Rhein river

Seems familiar. I was on the wrong side flying back so sadly missed that nice view.

What simply beautiful pictures you took of the rainbow on your way back to STR. I think that must have been a hello from up above.

Happy flying

Hi Markus ,

Great report again and good you got into the lounge in the end. These staff should not presume !

Nice livery on the Malmo aviation

Hamburg Airways? Where do they fly to ? Not heard of them before.

Nice to see the IR A300 not very popular these days .

Thanks for the report.

Hi there Markus,

Thanks for this report.

Malmo RJ85--not bad, it seems they're a bit more rare than the 100 series that you were expecting to see at the gate.

Bad day for online check-in, it seems--what a shame.

F100 is also not the most common aircraft in the sky. Shame about the delay on to STR.

Well done, interesting routes and interesting aircraft.

Norway in a nutshell? Perhaps I'll be able to read that in Norway--I'll be there for about 10 days starting tomorrow.

Thanks again,
Alex

Malmo Aviation and the RJ85 is a nice catch. Interesting that the plane is an ex LX bird. My first ever Avro flight was an LX RJ85 but I didn't note registrations back in those days.

Count me in with the surprise and much more with an LX machine.

Good to see your return report here !

Always great to see reports from Sweden and especially from you! Your Swedish seems to improve with each visit! Good to know that you will be back soon.

Flights looks okay but I'm not much a fan of the BAe 146/Avro series aircraft.

Funny to see someone trying to access the lounge without having status to do so.

Good to see two different DC-3s in one report including one that I have flown on !

Hi Markus,

Good to see the return journey. A bunch of nice flights there, congratulations for catching TF! Nice and a somewhat unexpected route as well.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
You know, short nights and busrides call for a toll. So I remember a thousand of industrial buildings, large stores Ikea style and do-it-yourself shops very close to a visit in dreamland, till the bus stopped so it feels like, in the middle of all these buildings.

Come on, your flight wasn't until eleven, that's a long sleep-in by your own standards!!
Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Climbing up the small hill for the car park and yes, this is really an airport here

Oh yes, it is kind of subtle lying in the middle of that industrial/shopping area.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Impressive, to say the least, when you follow such a number of domestic flights on the board

Sad to see the JZ flights there knowing what happened a little later...

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
I should visit the Yellow Room now, ok with Diners

Ahh, you finally managed to get it! Congratulations!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
The Yellow Room is much to my surprise spacious and not only yellow coloured

The YR is on okay lounge I think - good for an airport the size of Bromma where you usually arrive a really short time before your flight anyway. That separate room with the easy chairs and apron views if my favorite - very nice sitting there, watching the action.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Nice offers, sure ok with me

I wish they had beer there, though!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Or maybe also these Albino longer brother

No, don't do it! Albinos are bad!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
But, SE-DJO, much to my surprise and warm welcomed, this is an RJ85

Wow, congratulations. That is a nice surprise.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
It seems she knows not more than two words,
"Kaffe" and "Tack"!.

That's your understanding of the Swedish language as well?

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Service, much more than expected with a sandwich, free drinks and hot towels

How was the sandwich? What was in it?

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Legroom is not impressive here in the last row

Yeah, it's not impressive anywhere else either. Coupled the 3-3 seating it makes for one cramped plane. I have mixed feelings about TF as otherwise it is a very nice airline with good service and interesting planes (but very limited route network of course) but the cramped cabin makes it so uncomfortable that it usually isn't your first choice...

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
But anyway I´ve decided to go out in the public for check-in.

Well there's no other way - you cannot transfer from the domestic part to the international part airside anyhow.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
90.00 Euro´s from my account migrated to Lastminute.de, not cheap but the most convenient way to fly down for DUS and finally reaching STR later in the day.

Wow, good to see another route with decent one way fares available from LH!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Imagine his face when I´am walking by and he turns the other way around.
Not to talk about a guest invitation this time

Haha, serves him right.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Is there really a lounge here?.

There are actually three lounges at GOT! Malmö's Yellow Room and two lounges in the international part. I've only been to the other international lounge courtesy of Finnair but was very impressed - for a relatively small regional airport the offerings were great and I still remember those tasty meatballs... yummy!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Well presented Scandi design

Hey, that shelf/table thingy is exactly the same at the HEL lounge!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Service today is a cheese croissant together with free drinks

Hmm, LH keeps surprising me.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Well, for example the new Martin´s Air Charter scheduled service to AMS

Hey, a nice catch. Although maybe that should be spelled "Martijn's" after a certain old plane fanatic over here...
Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
The sweet corner

That chocolate fool looks lovely!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Every flight ontime on the screen, beside that service to, oh, STR

Haha, that's what you get when flying with Contact Air.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
One of 7 in the fleet by now, after the recent storage of D-AFKC

What is happening to Contact Air? Since LH kicked them out from the STR routes do they have any other contracts? Are they still flying for LX? Also who will be operating the STR-DUS route in the future?

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
TK with the big bird for IST

Nice to occasionally see these TK widebodies around Europe.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Thunderstorm and rainbow, that fit´s

That's a really nice picture! Well done.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):

Hi Markus,

nice report about this rare airline - I wouldn't hesitate to fly on Malmö Aviation if I had the chance to even though the product is not impressive at all.
