Greetings everyone!
I usually post a Trip Report with a lot of verbage, but have opted for a photo essay this time around. I took a look at my photo album on photobucket, an saw that I had 70+ photos for the trip report! If a picture is worth a 1000 words, than I’m sitting on a potential encyclopaedia.
This trip was a flight to Hamilton (YHM) from my hometown of Winnipeg, and back. On the trip I would see many friends and family I have not seen in many years. During our time away, we would drive up to Montréal to see more family.
Firstly, links to videos of the takeoffs and landings in Winnipeg and Hamilton:

Let the photo essay begin!

The Flight Out! To Southern Ontario, ho!
The flight was late leaving (30 minutes), but we eventually got out. The plane was late arriving from Calgary.
Where’s our plane?

It finally showed up, and we started boarding

The vacation begins!
This trip started in Hamilton, and then we drove to Montréal.
Our ride for the vacation

Convenient onRoutes on the 401 between Toronto and Montréal. Very clean. Very nice.

When in Montréal, you must go to…

Trudeau Airport (YUL) early in the morning
I picked up my brother from Trudeau airport (I still want to call it Dorval) as he was flying in from Alberta. It was pretty early in morning, as he was taking the redeye.

Domestic Arrivals

My brother arrived with no issue. We met with family, and had a great time. It was far too short of a time to spend in Montréal before we had to head home. We packed up on the Monday, and headed back to Hamilton to catch our flight on Tuesday.
On the day we were flying, we decided to go to the beach at Port Dalhousie in the morning, as our flight didn’t leave until 6:30pm. It was a great way to end the trip, and relax before we left.
Also, Port Dalhousie is directly underneath the arrival pattern for Toronto City airport (YTZ).

Admittedly, I took those photos with a 300mm lens, so they weren’t that close. :P
The Trip Home
After 10 days, it was time to head home. It was a busy trip with lots of driving, but well worth it.

Conclusions and observations
This was another great WestJet experience. It was about $1800 for 4 of us to fly.
Both flights were delayed, but not by much. The service onboard was sufficient, and the TVs mostly worked…Mostly. Out of the 4 of us travelling, at least 3 of us had working TVs for the flights.
For a 2.5 hour, the flight was very comfortable.
Hamilton airport is a small airport, and sure feels like it. It is 5minutes from check-in to the boarding gate. Some sections (security) didn’t have air conditioning, so some parts of the airport were very warm.
That concludes my flying for the year. I might try to get to Vegas for a weekend in November or another trip to Vancouver in September. One, both, or neither. Looking at my Visa card, I’m leaning towards neither…
Thanks for taking the time to view this TR. As always, I really appreciate feedback!
