I went to the beautiful and my most favorite city in Iran Shiraz for a quick visit and got some pictures and am sharing them here with you. I could not take pictures of the main terminal as I was in a hurry.
As you may know, Tehran's Mehrabad Airport was the one used for both Int'l flights and domestic ones operating from separate terminals but since the Int'l airport moved to another location (IKA) the former Int'l terminal is used for all Iran Air flights but as I was traveling with Aseman I had to go through the all time domestic terminal.
These days all int'l tickets in Iran are electronic- most of domestic ones are electronic too but I got lucky and they issued me a paper ticket for Aseman but for Iran Air it was an electronic one, which is the normal print out that you take to the airport with you.
Paper Ticket
Terminal Entrance:
Got the boarding pass
A map book of Tehran that I got
We were bussed to the plane
Flight crew- Navy overcoat and a yellow vest under it
Ready to taxi
Iran Air Cargo- Former Lufthansa
This is Tehran's former Int'l terminal that is currently being used by most Iran Air flights and has 4 air bridges
Take off
Yayy what a great surprise- we flew right next to Tehran's Int'l IKA Airport

Thanks Omid jan for the great photos, Lucky you traveling to Iran and could grab picture of Aseman and THR.
However you could have improved your trip by adding a little more detail about each photo and the flight it self or maybe capturing some pictures from Shiraz the city as well.
As far as I see this report is more pictures than actually being a report even though it was good seeing scenery of THR and Aseman F100s brought back memories when I left Iran in 2005
PS, as you mentioned THR having couple of air bridges i remember back in 2003 or 04 I went to Dubai on an EK A332 and we had to go through the jetways that was just cool being at THR and the only airport in Iran (i thigk) having those jetways

Wow very cool Nimool jan, I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks for sharing your nice memories
Quoting AR385 (Reply 2): Fantastic trip report. Great insight into an airline we rarely get much information about. And of a country.
The entire crew looks very smart in those uniforms.
Some of your pictures remind me of the Andes crossing when flying SCL-MDZ in the Austral winter.
Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it

Bon Voyage, and thank you so much!!!

Great, Can't wait to read your TR
Quoting luv2fly (Reply 5): That is a large crew for such a small plane.
Actually some of these crews were from another flight traveling to Shiraz as passengers
Quoting lychemsa (Reply 6): Fascinating. Thanks for the great report.
The women have a separate entrance?
Also there seems to be a picture in the front of the cabin or maybe I am mistaken?
Iran is certainly a country I would like to visit one day.
Thank you, No, there is no separate section, it's all mixed

Hi... what a great read! Thanks for sharing! THR looks like a beautiful city and I hear that the Persians are just lovely and hospitable people. I hope one day to journey to this land for adventure.
Landing on every Continent almost on an annual basis!
