On my way back from Tehran I was flying with KLM. It's sad that they decided to discontinue their service to Tehran but anyhow. I did not take many pictures of Tehran airport as I have covered it all in my previous trip reports. This trip report is mostly from plane spotting at AMS.
As I love the color blue, so guess what? my most favorite airline is KLM as it is all blue. I have taken lots of pictures of KLM around AMS and I hope you enjoy them

The legroom was so comfortable in economy, so was the seat.

The flight was very smooth and as it was in middle of the night everyone was almost sleeping including me so I did not get to take any more pix

I was going to go to the city as I had a 8 hour lay over but since we got to AMS at 5 in the morning I decided to hang out in the airport and then hit the city. I had been to AMS before so I really wanted to take a nice and quite stroll along the beautiful canals

I bough the KLM 747-400 models from this store. This Shaback brand is really good but I could not find a website for them. Does anyone know if they have a website as their prices are very good. I bought my KLm model for only 11 Euros.

Yotel- the small hotel with tiny rooms that transit passengers can use
It was around 7 AM that I went out to go to the city

I got to Amsterdam around 7:30 and then I walked around till 10:30 and was back at Schiphol at 11:00

Then I headed to my most favorite place, the Panorama Terrace

The only downside was that all information boards and guides around the area and inside the sample KLM Fokker were all in Dutch and I could not understand anything.

Wow, what great photos from Amsterdam! I've never been through the airport, but would love too next time I need to connect to a European destination. What a spotters heaven! How cool they have a F100 upstairs and outside, and people can go inside and look all around.
My wife and I are planning a possible trip to Italy in September, and we're thinking of taking the route via Amsterdam!

You are so lucky to have flown on the MD-11 from IKA before it is removed from the KL network. It is an iconic route that many people are sad to see disappear. Thank you for documenting it properly.
I am desperate to fly the KL MD-11 this year from YYZ or LAX to AMS, I have to make sure that happens.
