Sky work airlines was in my ToDo list for long time. I couldn't resist to theirs flights to LCY.
Plus their company slogan is more than ambitious: YOUR PERSONAL WAY TO FLY
Is our claim and motto today, and is at the centre of our service on the ground and in the air. Our goal is to make flying into the special experience that it once was.
Sky work airlines is actually first airline that impressed me so much that I want to write about.
Sky work airlines don't have flights to my home airport (SOF) so I booked Air Malta, Aeagen and Bulgaria air for this trip:
Sofia airport Тerminal 2
Lets start with KM:
18.01.2013
10:30-11:40
KM781 SOF-ATH
Airbus 320 9H-AEO
Specially for Markus:
One Kinnie for luxair747SP please:
Planehuter's meal from BER meeting TP looks better than mine
Qatar and rain for warn welcome
18.01.2013 12:35-13:25
A3116 ATH-SKG
Airbus 320 SX-DVS
LZ-PLO (named after city of Plovdiv) newest addition to FB fleet, but still crap legroom unless you pay еxtra 20 pounds. Maybe flyingfinn76 is right and it is some kind of Bulgaria air style.
Tasty sandwich
Sky work airlines - beyond my expectations. The best airline in my list. Air Malta - nice flight. Аеgean - nothing special this time. Bulgaria air -young and beautiful female FAs, new E190, but still crap legroom.

Hey Eco,
Nice to see a report featuring my two European home airports that was not written by me .
How cool that you got to fly on the special livery of Air Malta. That's one cool plane. Also good call on giving SkyWorks a try. They look pretty good. They are being quite clever flying to SKG at the moment as there is plenty of demand for connections to London (and not only) now that LX (and a bunch of other carriers) left. I never flown on a Dornier. Maybe I should consider giving them a try next time I'm back in Europe. Too bad you didn't get any service on A3 due to the turbulence. I would have liked to see what they offer on this route these days.
Thanks for sharing,
WB

Nice little report about some interesting airlines!
Can't argue with your opinion about Skywork, I have some very fond memories of my flight with them as well.
Thanks for sharing!

Hey Alex!
Nice report! Looks like you had a nice selection of flights! GLad you made it back to LHR with the tube all messed up. Is Bulgaria Air making money sending the Ejets to LHR? Would LGW or STN be better? Was the flight full?

Now its your turn
Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 3): nice pictures and for sure a special routing out of SOF. Definitely out of the ordinary.
Thanks. Next in my To Do list are Adria, JAT, Montenegro, Air Croatia, Blue air and Carpatair

Swiss quality.
Quoting gabrielchew (Reply 5): Is Bulgaria Air making money sending the Ejets to LHR? Would LGW or STN be better? Was the flight full?
Bulgaria air flies to LHR because of their SPA and interline agreements (page 107 http://www.air.bg/content/magazine/pdf/481108335.pdf) but I am not sure that this or any other of their routes (except maybe BRU & VAR) is profitable.
The load factor was ~70-80%, because BA flight to Sofia was cancelled.
Quoting gabrielchew (Reply 5): I didn't know QR flew to MLA. I guess they could see all the pax EK was taking
My mistake- what I mean was that at ATH there were only rain and one QR plane.
Quoting gabrielchew (Reply 5): Hope you enjoyed my choice of restaurant!
I wouldn't mind if our next meeting in London to be there again.

Hey eco,
Good to see a report featuring the Balkans... and, as a bonus, Skywork--yeah I'm interested in them as well!
Nice report, and good to try KM on your way to London. unusual routing for sure. Also nice to get the Do-328... that airplane has some of the nicer lines in the sky IMO.
Oh, and at least Bulgaria Air has the E-190s, be they with crap legroom. I wish RO did as well! I'm getting tired of their 733s...

Hi eco,
interesting report here, enjoyed it very much. And a very cool itinerary you have put together here for a trip to London, nice variety of airlines. I had no idea that Air Malta flies the route from SOF to ATH, for sure interesting.
Both Skywork and London City are still on my to-do list, guess I should try it as well soon. Let's see. Congrats of course to log the Dornier.

Quoting dc9northwest (Reply 7): Hehe, quickly, before they go bankrupt! I forget, did you fly RO or QR to Bucharest last summer?
No, please tell me that you are joking. Yes, last summer I flew RO.
