Delta Flight 799
ALB-ATL B738
8:15am
The airport was bustling this morning , as usual, which always makes for an interesting day. Check-in was quick and painless also security was the same. Our flight left on time to ATL ( I was truly surprised!). The flight was quick, extreemely quick since the flight was about 45 minutes shorter than scheduled.
We landed in ATL, like I said, 45 minutes early (Unbelievable for ATL!!, but of course...) When the a/c arrived at our gate, D33, there was an MD-88 waiting to push back. Of course we waited for about 20 minutes and the MD still never pushed-back. Well then we were informed that we would be taxing to another gate on the other side of the concourse. In the end we arrived at gate D30 at 10:45 a few minutes early
Delta Flight 63
ATL-MCO MD-11
11:40am
The flight was scheduled for 11:40am and I was surprised to find that boarding began at about 11am. I am assuming that was due the size of the a/c. Anyway, the flight was full, well at least coach, I was in 33H and I could see some empty BizElite seats. The flight was a quick hop to MCO with a wonderfully thrilling decent into MCO via large storm clouds. Needless to say we were bounced around quite a bit. We arrived a little late into MCO because the the a/c flew around the clouds first before landing. Once again Delta proved that they are efficient and friendly .
Part 2 coming in two weeks..... Until then

Sunday,799 departed from gate B5 (the 9pm-ish flight from CVG the privious night). I was also at ALB Sat. night picking up someone from flight 684 from ATL, which arrived at gate B7. It all depends which city you came from. It it was CVG I was on the same plane. It was ATL, not this time

I would like to try JetBlue, but they do not fly into ALB, I assume that WN would dominate here. The closest airport w/ JetBlue service is ROC (3hrs away) and JFK (also 3 hrs away). Until we get JetBlue in ALB I'll stick w/ DL.

Anything regarding seat pitch, cleanliness of aircraft, onboard service, attitude of crews or anything other than basically saying "I flew on this flight?"
I look to the reports as a barometer of what I can expect on future flights and to find consistancy in an airline's product so some information about the flights other than what I could find in a timetable would be great. Thanks.

Sorry about the vagueness of the report, I certainly could have been more specific:
The 738 is a great a/c. Delta's pitch on these birds is not that bad, I'm 6'2" and my knees barely touched the seat in front of me (obviously in coach). The a/c was very clean, which is something I can usually say about all DL flights. Cabin crew could have been a little friendlier. On the ALB-ATL leg the f/a's did not seem to be thrilled. The flight was full but they could have atleast pretended to like other people. I think the only words any of them said was "What do ya want to drink", no HI's or BYE's (honestly I was surprised by that, usually DL stall IMO is friendly and helpful)
On the next flight ATL-MCO it was a nicer experience. The f/as were happy<'> and it was nice to finally be on an MD-11. Also the MD-11 had much more comfterable seats. There was more pitch and the seat seemed wider.
Also all the flights were on-time (which is always a nice thing when going thru ATL)
Overall it was good trip, no glitches and of course I will fly Delta again. (actually I have to, to get home next week! ) yeah that was meant to be funny but I'm sure I'm the only one laughing.
Sorry about not writing much before, thats really not like me. I guess I was just feeling lazy at the time. Hope the fills the gaps for you!!
