I remember my trip from Mexico to Israel years ago. My flight from MEX to JFK was late, so I was the last one to board the LY flight to TLV. I really got a complete search. Everyone was so nice, including the security men and the flight attendants. I think Israel is one of the most fascinating places on the planet. Everyone should go there. It is so old and historic.

Thanks for sharing. The 777 looks great for such a rather short hop. You wont be bored for sure. I was lucky to be rebooked from an oversold OK flight from TLV-PRG-FRA to a nonstop flight on the 767 which I found quite good.

Is LY flying out of 2F in Paris, or which terminal was that? I wasn't aware 2F had non schengen gates... only saw Schengen gates there when I transited there last month, but I may have missed them...

No LY flies from 2A, mostly from the "new" satellite of the 2A along with AA, CX, BA, TN, RJ, XL, AC, WY, etc.

And don't forget that now 2A and 2C are almost a "unique" terminal with a central access (formalities) for both parts.

EK parks at 2C with some AF SkyTeam partners and others such as SV, SU, KQ, ME, GF, HY etc.

Right, although AA now departs from CDG 2C IIRC

Interesting report, did not realize that LY deploys that much widebody traffic to CDG!

As usual, a good report. Does LY ever give you a hard time about the photography? Just curious...

AF A319 (or A318?)

Hope you like rare planes. That's certainly a 318. When in doubt, notice the Vert fin is a little "too high" for a 319. Not an illusion, it actually is taller.

Again, good work.

You Sir, are a very funny lady.

That's my jogging path

With El Al flying 744s and 772s to CDG and Air France only A320s twice a day, it's not really a fair battle. El Al service looks great on that sector. I hope that the new open skies agreement will add EasyJet to the TLV-PAR market, and price will be lowered.

Thx for shearing, Jonathan

every day is a good day to fly

Great report! Israel is definitely on my radar, and if I go there, I would love to travel by LY. Unfortunately the closest I've got so far is flying LY BCN-TLV on FSX.

I think that A320 you saw air to air is Meridiana...

Nothing compares to taking off in an empty 757 with full thrust!
