Route: Jakarta (CGK) - Kuala Lumpur (KUL)
Flight: Malaysia Airlines MH 726
Seat: 4F (Golden Club / Business Class)
Flight time: 1hr40mins
1st Flight: 5 Oct 2012
A 0500hrs departure meant I did not really get a nice rest, but the advantage of that departure time is Jakarta's notorious traffic is virtually non existent. Arrived at CGK with an hour to spare and formalities were all completed in less than 5mins. After which I just parked myself in the smoking area of the Puri Indah Lounge, which MH and several airlines used. Boarding was called on time and then it dawned on me, this is the first time I am flying MH as a One World partner. Flight is pretty full in all classes, which is pretty odd for this 0500 departure. Like all MH flights, this one was flawless and good service all round.

Route: Kuala Lumpur (KUL) - Perth (PER)
Flight: Malaysia Airlines MH125
Seat: 4K ( Golden Club / Business Class)
Flight time: 5hrs 20mins
1st Flight: 6 Jul 2012
Arrived at KLIA with 2 hrs to spare. But check in and security took ages, and thats for the business class check in. This high load is mainly due to the extra long weekend of Chinese New Year, thus lots of people are either going for a quick getaway or flying back home to be with families.
Extremely busy KLIA this Chinese New Year Season
Once formalities were cleared I just stayed at the smoking room of the Golden Lounge till it was time to get to the gate.

Boarding was done on time and flight is full in all classes. This is actually my 3rd time on MH's new batch of A333.
It is indeed a far cry from the old J seats on the A333, B744 and B772, but the let down is that the seats are still lie flats and not fully flat, but I guess they are fine on flights up to 6hrs.

After meal service I managed to catch upon a movie from the IFE afterwhich I managed to sleep all the way, waking up just before start of descend.

Route: Perth (PER) - Kuala Lumpur (KUL)
Flight: Malaysia Airlines MH124
Seat: 6G (Golden Club / Business Class)
Flight time: 5hrs 5min
1st Flight: 29 Mar 2011
Arrived with just under 2hrs to spare. Check was quick and immediate but immigration took a while due to several flights departing at similar times. Once formalities were cleared I just parked myself at the Golden Lounge till boarding was called.
Tarmac views and 9M-MTB pulling in to the gate
Boarding was done swiftly and in no time everyone is onboard. Pretty full both in J (70%) and Y (90%). But I still managed to have an empty seat next to me and later on after take off I moved to an empty window seat.

Flight: Malaysia Airlines MH711
Seat: 3F (Golden Club / Business Class)
Flight time: 1hr 40mins
1st Flight: 15 Sep 2011
As I was already pretty knackered after the trip, I didn’t write a report on the short hop back from KUL to CGK. However I will leave with a parting shot of the aircraft in the morning light.
Overall another great journey with MH, actually in all honestly I have never had a disappointing flight with MH at all.

Hi thaia !
Another excellent with great pictures !
MH seems to offer great product in their new A330s. Am going to fly with MH new A330 next month to Brisbane so thanks for the insight.
Quite surprise that the 5 AM flight to KUL is pretty full since I've flown on MH 726 several times before and the load is ussualy low (mybe because of the chinese new year holiday) . Anyway thanks for sharing.
Actually the first routes Mh new A33 started flying to was BNE, and that was also my first experience on the new A333.
I guess they were indeed full due to CNY holidays, actually thsi was also the first time whereby I took this flight and its full, usually even in J its only me and max 2 other pax
Quoting christao17 (Reply 2): Wow, impressive that MH offers a selection of 3 main courses on the short flights and 4 main courses on the long-haul flights. I thought those days were gone!
I think MH is one of the last few carriers giving such a great choice of meals on a regional flight.
Quoting flightsimboy (Reply 3): That pretty much sums up MH for me!! Always had consistent good service on all sectors regardless the destination!
