"Give me five Tripreporters for MAN"

The trip in one word, ok, beside the flu:

PERFECT

This is a story about a weekend in England,
North West England to say it correct, where the
Tripreporter meet some good friends on the way and also at the destination and learned a lot about real life in England, ok, Northern England!.

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301106_zps799966f6.jpg

Ariite, queens and lads, let´s bowl fe de ruv,

it´s not as long as a week ago, since I´am finally back at the homebase from some sunny days down under:

"Inaugural/The First Ever Qantas Plane In Dubai" (by FLIEGER67 Jun 7 2013 in Trip Reports)

And also this trip is best shown here on the map with thanx to:

http://www.gcmap.com/

http://www.gcmap.com/map?P=str-ams-man-lpl-iom&MS=wls&MR=120&MX=540x540&PM=*

A couple of new places are counted on the departure airports map with no. 236 during this part of the story:

Departure Airports II auf einer größeren Karte anzeigen

The previous 200 departure places:

Departure airports auf einer größeren Karte anzeigen

And also the Tripreporter 2013 data grows:

TRIPREPORTER 2013 auf einer größeren Karte anzeigen

Well, just a couple of months ago, a few people talked about a spring meet somewhere around the world.
I´am not sure who was coming up with the idea to do it in MAN, but I strongly believe that it was this good friend from Belgium called MSS658 and it was a real good idea, thanx Marc.

How to reach MAN and much more important, how to log at least one new departure airport around this trip?. Yes, this rule is still there. No trip without a new departure airport. Now, stay tuned, we will see!.

Service KLM KL 1870 operated by KLM Cityhopper
Scheduled: 11.15 // 12.35

Yes, the blue guys and girls from the Netherlands catched my money and not only mine this time!.
There is a pleasant schedule change from an originally 12.05 am departure to 11.15 am some weeks prior to the flight what shows me 50 minutes more in Amsterdam. And also some more time to contact and chat with the one, two, three, no, four people on the plane with the very same intention to go.
Four legs today and tomorrow on one confirmation, the fare per leg is 35.00 Euro´s this way, sure good, fixed by Flugladen.de.
Well, I´am not in the best conditions in terms of health today, long time no flu, but someone up there decides that it was long enough now.
The nose is runinng somewhere else and the voice is poor, but it´s meeting time, let´s go!.
Low traffic and no problem to catch a good parking spot at STR´s anyway overprized P0 today.
I bid farewell to my BMW, see you tomorrow in the same conditions like now, hopefully!.
No need to hurry with this lazy late Saturday morning departure. The E90 is on schedule, now we will see.
OLCI works well with KL´s system and also to catch the printout from the SSK machines at STR airport is done throughout a minute.
Belleair for Pristina runs a little late this morning. I should give them a try next month. Should I really?.
But KL runs ontime, so it seems
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301010_zps0696a62a.jpg
Nothing to concern with these small ten minutes inbound delay ex Amsterdam
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301011_zps19a2f1fb.jpg
Sky Priority pushes me just a second faster through the non crowded security and swiftly at the Skyteam Lounge, where there is some new furniture, surprise
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301012_zps54b37456.jpg
That´s the one inbound ex AMS
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301013_zpsdbd2e3c4.jpg
You´re on the right track for gate 316
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301014_zpsaffdd602.jpg
Make way for Delta

Engines stopped

Ground service
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301017_zpscc32e838.jpg
This is PH-EZH, the E90 like on schedule.
Nothing new to the log, done in the opposite direction some 200 flights ago and leg no. 16 on type.
In the air with "City" since 23.11.2009, one of the 22 examples in the actual fleet
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301018_zpsa680e4b3.jpg
Down for the gates close to boarding time and not a minute to early.
11.25 am, ten minutes late, but believe me, I´am not the reason!. 1.00 hour for the Netherlands.
Departure ex runway "Zero-Seven" with +1 degrees and light snow, shudder, hopefully better, much better in England.
The well used seats and the cabin is not that really clean here
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301019_zps7b412e46.jpg
The load is 90%, VFR travellers on the way and the last row window 26F is me. Well, the aisle also in the end!.
Legroom is ok here
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301020_zps08ec99e8.jpg
Cockpit crew is from the Netherlands, the captain with detailed data inflight, departure, weather and arrival informations, real good this way.
No route or flightlevel details by the way.
And the safety standard is high
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301021_zps26703aee.jpg
Two young women working the cabin, one blonde, nice and the other with black, curly hair, really nice!.
The open issue
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301022_zps12d00115.jpg
How I like it this way

Cabin view
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301024_zpsee1371ca.jpg
A delicious dutch welcome together with free drinks
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301025_zpsc08570e1.jpg
This is definitely something out of the ordinary now.
AMS is usually an early morning or evening place,
so let´s go for an midday approach along the dutch countryside
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301026_zps4a5cfeef.jpg
Ok, not only countryside
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301027_zps18fd7c36.jpg
Maybe also the industrialside
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301028_zps44231236.jpg
Well this is the countryside and I like it
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301029_zpsceea73e2.jpg
Touchdown at the 3500 meters "Kaagbaan, Zero-Six", sunny with 7 degrees, well, that´s the right direction in respect to the weather and 12.30 am is also short ahead to schedule.
The first leg done, the ear pain plagues me, but acceptable till now.
Looking forward to see some friends now!.

Service KL 1087 operated by KLM
Scheduled: 14.45 // 15.05

Originally planned was to meet now with fellow guy´s
akhmad, Suryo and adamspotter, Brendan.
But Suryo´s train is running late, so he had a hard time to make it for the airport ontime, but Brendan is here
close to the lounge entrance.
We changed greetings, good to see you again Brendan.
So we decided to hit the KL Crown Lounge together now.
With some healthy offers like this
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301030_zpsc2022c96.jpg
Well dutch designed to say the least
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301031_zpsd86c139b.jpg
And also some interesting aircraft around
to spot from the lounge
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301032_zpsfae8550a.jpg
Suryo messaged that he is at the airport and will make it to the lounge entrance and meanwhile
infodesk/Hannah and also rogerBCN/Roger arrived on their respective KL services from ZRH and BCN.
I had to do some work with the nice young, blonde btw., woman at the lounge desk.
"I´am confirmed on KL for MAN and as far as I know, the flight is pretty well booked, is there a chance for an upgrade?".
"Operational upgrades are managed at the gate. If you like to do it here you should pay the upgrade fare, but I will write something in the system about you´re upgrade request".
"That´s great, I´am together with a group of total five travellers and I´am sure they are also not ungrateful with upgrades" and named the other four.
Well, abandon the lounge now to meet Hannah, Roger and Suryo opposite the entrance. More greetings exchanged and shortly thereafter Brendan joins us also.
Like a miracle, there are some delicious homemade muffins to circle around. Thanx Suryo, you know I like it.
Time to head for the gate now and see what´s going on there.
Maybe some exciting aircraft change at gate D43?
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301033_zpscbdfc818.jpg
This is the second leg on the Flugladen.de confirmation, the fare is again 35.00 Euro´s.
There is also a small schedule change here, but only five minutes earlier.
Thanx to Brendan, I´ve noticed something unexpected.
It´s possible without a registration in advance to use the electronic passport check what works within seconds in the end. Well done by the dutch government.
The 737 is on schedule
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301035_zps306a7268.jpg
Looks like nice this way, isn´t it?
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301037_zps17957dce.jpg
This is PH-BGG, leg no. 39 on the 737-700, warm welcomed, new to the log and especially named
"Koningseider/King Eider"
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301038_zps21fc681e.jpg
19.03.2009 is the date with the first service for KL. One of the 18 in the fleet
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301039_zps7f0267d0.jpg
A huge number of people around the gate, now this looks definitely like a full flight.
With all that very important talking we are boarding late, what is the usual standard for me btw.!.
Beep one, Mr. Felger we have a new seat for you,
01A biz, warm welcomed, the perfect way to go for the meeting.
Beep two, also Hannah should leave her originally fixed window seat, 2A, nice to talk directly behind me.
Beep three, Brendan is forced to change for 2F!.
Pure coincidence or well done by the KL gate agent,
all Tripreporters also after the changes stay on window seats.
Finally three biz seats and I feel somewhat sorry for Suryo and Roger to walk all along down the cabin for the back of the plane.
2.50 pm, close to ontime and this is also the time to go now for the 1.00 hour Tripreporter shuttle above the channel.
Departure by "KLM" from the 3800 meters "Three-Six-Left, Polderbaan" as mentioned by the captain.
7 degrees and partly cloudy here.
Not to talk about the load, 100% around all cabins.
The typical row one legroom shot, 1A and the aisle seat is also taken with the blue red clean fabric seats
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301040_zpsee4a00df.jpg
Cockpit crew is from the Netherlands, the captain with a very nice welcome during taxi with departure and route informations.
Safety on board the scheduled 737-700
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301041_zps85926c85.jpg
Helvetic and the F100 in line, this is also something for me to catch soon, I promise
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301042_zps985435e1.jpg
Forward cabin view
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301043_zps742b9aaf.jpg
One elder female FA serving the biz cabin, nice, one middle aged and also nice woman in the eco cabin and also one younger nice male FA on duty.
And the unusual engine view this way
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301044_zps811ff093.jpg
Over water heading for the island
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301045_zps9ac91b73.jpg
Something for lunch now?. Well, it´s biz here and that means no chance to miss
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301046_zps243c8a85.jpg
The menue
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301050_zps1bc521fc.jpg
Exactly what I prefer during this time of the day,
well done by KL
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301047_zpsdcbddd22.jpg
Some small clouds only
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301048_zpsd002ee19.jpg
Well, this is England upcoming where the sun is out and spring is around, warm welcomed.
The coastline
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301049_zps0568a32e.jpg
The captain is once more on the mike short prior to approach detailed, with weather and arrivals informations. The routing is above the North Sea at 32000 feet maximum.
The route close to arrivals
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301051_zps7d54e4bd.jpg
Touchdown at the 3048 meters "Two-Three-Right", 3.00 pm, short ahead to schedule, 9 degrees and some clouds only, real good.
Flybe parked closeby
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301052_zpsd8d79e61.jpg
Well, we give the other pax the chance to disembark before the picture run starts, also some taken by the really nice cabin crew with several cameras.
Suryo decided to hit the cockpit for some more talking and pictures while we have a chat with the new crew waiting at the planes door.
And believe me, especially the FO was really interested to know what we are doing here.
Take care about the sun, sunburns are not out of the ordinary this weekend
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301055_zps04128c37.jpg
Bye now to KL, sure a good experience here
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301056_zps6200de5f.jpg
What about the health?.
Bad, to say it in one word, the flight was terrible painful around the ears, especially the approach, not to my amusement, oh no. I´am close to don´t hear anything on one side and also the other one doesn´t let me notice that much. The voice is going lower and lower, but it´s meeting time, so let´s go for the hotel now.
Also immigration here works with the electronic passport system, not a minute to wait for me, but I feel somewhat out of this world.
A nice welcome by PH and LH4532 in the terminal and
just by coincidence we bumped into airbuseric on the way to his KL flight back to AMS, nice talking, hopefully more the next time, you know.
The Radisson is the place to stay and meet.
I´ve asked for a top floor room, airside view, in advance. Check-in was managed by a nice Eastern European young woman, top floor was prepared but the airside view gone lost.
Ok, just the way it is!.
Checking the room and back on the groundfloor some minutes thereafter and what happens?.
The nice young woman waved me and walked to me
"Mr.Felger I have a room for you airside view, it´s on the second to top level, if it´s ok for you?".
"Well, in this case!"
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301057_zpsdcb41cab.jpg
The bathroom
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301058_zps931f7326.jpg
More room details
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301059_zpsfa96db0b.jpg
And nothing to complain about to follow something like this from you´re hotel room
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301060_zps34e22abd.jpg
Switch now immediatelly for the top floor bar to meet all the others, nice talking and a good number of jokes and laughs around.
Someone fe scran?. Ok, time for dinner now by train to the city and Wa´ about a ruv?. Well let´s party later on
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301061_zps68bb2e05.jpg
What kind of corn is exchanged here?. Maybe the bottled one?
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301063_zps9ee175e0.jpg
These building looks like strange
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301064_zps6e44cda5.jpg
Lee managed a couple of tables for us at the Zinc restaurant, well done and sure a nice place to have dinner for all of us together.
Back for the train station late in the evening with this building looks like somewhat well known to me, also after the ruv!
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301066_zps66962215.jpg
The corn exchange at night
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301067_zps21dfa2b6.jpg
Some more talking at the top floor bar and let´s call it one more of these shorty travel nights now till....
....breakfast with nice companion
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301068_zps7c109a19.jpg
I feel much better this morning than yesterday
and it seems that has something to do with the nice companion!.
The bar is well used this way
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301069_zps27b92ff9.jpg
Some early morning pictures from up there
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301070_zps8cc3dceb.jpg
And also this way it looks like nice.
Especially when you know that this plane carry some Tripreporters for Munich later on
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301071_zps2d13df0b.jpg

Let me say I´am really impressed by this less known city, sure a nice place.
Some very important shopping is done later on.
Good to see these huge shopping centres open at sundays. The Twinnings Tea and Walkers Cookies stock filled up to the limits of my travel bag and further on to catch the previously mentioned necessary new departure airport right now

Service BE 604 operated by FlyBe
Scheduled: 12.35 // 13.15

And just by coincidence these nice young woman is on the same plane like me.
Ok, ok, not only by coincidence!.
Parked the car and ready to go for a terminal check
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301090_zpsfbdd19ae.jpg
And we should also Check-In now, not done by OLCI with the no seat change system.
Finally done and catched the seats of choice.
Any ideas?.
This trip looks like the "Every flight a schedule change trip", also here 20 minutes earlier than booked.
Fixed by FlyBe directly, the fare 25.00 pounds with a little help from my friends!.
The Dash 8-400 is on schedule. Not a real surprise here!.
Well, this is what LPL has on offer today
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301091_zpscb62e261.jpg
No bad sign for our flight from gate 30. But wait, no that does not bring me confused, the flight is on the screen with the original pre schedule change departure time
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301092_zpsefd2e1b2.jpg

Break. Three legs is enough for this part of the story, more to come with the next part.
For example the answer to this question:
Is it possible to connect on two separate tickets from FlyBe to KL during 45 minutes after the next set of schedule changes and is there another upgrade prepared for me?.
Stay tuned!.

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b305/FLIEGER67/GB1301/GB1301140_zps31f5ac26.jpg

Great thanx to all the participants around the MAN meeting, especially the party of five on the Tripreporter shuttle and Marc, together with Lee and the idea behind.
I do not post pictures from the meeting itself just to not bother the participants with their privacy.
If you want to see more what´s going around a meeting, well, what about joining us at ZRH, Saturday, 12. of October is scheduled.

And what should I say to my travel companion?:

Ta, Danke, Merci, Thank you!.

Well, do not forget the conclusions, isn´t it?:

1.)KLC STR-AMS: Beside some ear pain, not KL´s fault, a really comfortable experience.
2.)KL AMS-MAN: More upgrades and less earpain please!.
3.)BE LPL-IOM: Short and relaxed.

Just a note what´s going on further here.
This was leg no. 885 on commercial flights recorded in my log and the actual number of flights done is at 940,
so 55 legs fixed during the last two months and to report now. Well, a couple of stories to come!.

Comments welcome, sure,

Hi Markus,

Well, what can I say? Perfect timing, the cases are nearly packed and I am able to read your report.

Thanks for bringing back the memories of this great weekend, it really was a huge success, just sorry you were feeling under the weather. A memorable a.netters flight, a good Saturday night out, a side trip on the Sunday, all with friends, what more could you want? The pictures of Chester are really nice, the city always comes across well on film and tv. Glad you liked it.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
This is definitely something out of the ordinary now.
AMS is usually an early morning or evening place,
so let´s go for an midday approach along the dutch countryside

My feelings exactly. It was lovely to see the dutch coastline on such a sunny day.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
"That´s great, I´am together with a group of total five travellers and I´am sure they are also not ungrateful with upgrades" and named the other four.

Working your charm with the lounge staff were you?

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Beep one, Mr. Felger we have a new seat for you,
01A biz, warm welcomed, the perfect way to go for the meeting.
Beep two, also Hannah should leave her originally fixed window seat, 2A, nice to talk directly behind me.
Beep three, Brendan is forced to change for 2F!.

Ok, the charm worked! A super surprise and very much welcomed after what went wrong on my first leg from ZRH.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
Also immigration here works with the electronic passport system, not a minute to wait for me, but I feel somewhat out of this world.

If you don't mind: there aren't any such lanes at T3. We had to queue.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
"Mr.Felger I have a room for you airside view, it´s on the second to top level, if it´s ok for you?".
"Well, in this case!"

You might have been on the top floor but that room looks really dated. Was that brown capsule thing the wardrobe?

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
I feel much better this morning than yesterday
and it seems that has something to do with the nice companion!.

What can I say to that?
Quoting FLIEGER67 (Thread starter):
magine all the ladies with long apparels and amazing enormous hats and also the lords, bet the family owned Bentley on the winner, hopefully. The Chester horse race course

It's an amazing sight on raceday. People everywhere, all dressed up, no lady without a hat.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 2):
Fixed by FlyBe directly, the fare 25.00 pounds with a little help from my friends!.

Or a little help from the debit card!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 2):

Hi, Markus,

really good to follow you're story around the MAN-meet earlier. Good to follow the flights, and once again you were lucky on KLM with the upgrade. It seems only the status gave the upgrade for you, Hannah and Brendan. I recall the others had no status? So far, I only make it to Economy Comfort...
Nice to have a small talk with all of you in the hallway somewhere in the Manchester terminal, but too short. And it seems that the ZRH meet is impossible to do for me also this year.

After enjoying your little jaunt around Australia, I was looking forward to this trip report.

But my excitement tipped to ecstasy when I saw I saw that you went to...

2000 years old city of Chester

I'm from Chester, and it is a place very close to my heart. I always thought that it was under-appreciated by tourists visiting the UK. Thank you for taking the time to go!

Obviously it's been a while since I lived there, and it is a shame that so many of the old shops along the rows closed down, but it still looks stunning! Your pictures almost made me feel slightly homesick for the old country. Almsot, but not enough to make me want to go back!!!

So thankyou! And since this is an aviation forum rather than "old city" forum I should probably say that I also enjoyed the flying! KLM look like they looked after you well.

One slightly disingenuous comment:

That was my first thought as well, that looks like an Ikea showroom rather than a premium airport lounge!

I know and I am so happy about it!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
Maybe some exciting aircraft change at gate D43?

A MD-11 would have been nice!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
This is PH-BGG, leg no. 39 on the 737-700, warm welcomed, new to the log and especially named "Koningseider/King Eider"

Appropriate bird to carry five of us!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
Beep one, Mr. Felger we have a new seat for you,
01A biz, warm welcomed, the perfect way to go for the meeting.
Beep two, also Hannah should leave her originally fixed window seat, 2A, nice to talk directly behind me.
Beep three, Brendan is forced to change for 2F!.
Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
I feel somewhat sorry for Suryo and Roger to walk all along down the cabin for the back of the plane.

Never mind! We were still well taken care of at the back!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
One elder female FA serving the biz cabin, nice, one middle aged and also nice woman in the eco cabin and also one younger nice male FA on duty.

Great crew members we had on our flight!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
Exactly what I prefer during this time of the day,
well done by KL

The ciabatta looks so delicious!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
Suryo decided to hit the cockpit for some more talking and pictures while we have a chat with the new crew waiting at the planes door.

Thank you for your patience!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
A nice welcome by PH and LH4532 in the terminal and
just by coincidence we bumped into airbuseric on the way to his KL flight back to AMS, nice talking, hopefully more the next time, you know.

A.netters were scattering everywhere around MAN.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
"Mr.Felger I have a room for you airside view, it´s on the second to top level, if it´s ok for you?".
"Well, in this case!"

Well done!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
What kind of corn is exchanged here?. Maybe the bottled one?

or the Adidas one?

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
Lee managed a couple of tables for us at the Zinc restaurant, well done and sure a nice place to have dinner for all of us together.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
I feel much better this morning than yesterday

Thank goodness!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
and it seems that has something to do with the nice companion!.

No doubt about it!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
Especially when you know that this plane carry some Tripreporters for Munich later on

Singapore Girl, you are a great way to fly…

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
A rental car delivered us for the more than 2000 years old city of Chester where she has a special relationship with.
Chester cathedral

Gorgeous!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
Imagine all the ladies with long apparels and amazing enormous hats and also the lords, bet the family owned Bentley on the winner, hopefully.

And having some Twinnings tea and Walkers Cookies afterwards.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 1):
Boat riding anyone?

Maybe in summertime.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 2):
This trip looks like the "Every flight a schedule change trip",

Also interesting to see the desks open exactly six hours before STD!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 2):
Well, it seems so!

Imagine all the people…

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 2):
"Life goes on day after day.
Hearts torn in every way.
So ferry 'cross the Mersey,
'cause this land's the place I love
and here I'll stay.
People they rush everywhere.
Each with their own secret care.
So ferry 'cross the Mersey
and always take me there.
The place I love.
People around every corner.
They seem to smile and say.
We don't care what your name is boy.
We'll never turn you away.
So I'll continue to say.
Here I always will stay.
So ferry 'cross the Mersey,
'cause this land's the place I love
and here I'll stay,
and here I'll stay.
Here I'll stay"

Gerry and The Pacemakers?

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 2):
With this nice one in the background

Oh no! Not the ATP again!

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 2):
Great thanx to all the participants around the MAN meeting, especially the party of five on the Tripreporter shuttle and Marc, together with Lee and the idea behind.

The pleasure was mine as well! It was great to fly together with you and also the three other ones.

Quoting FLIEGER67 (Reply 2):
I do not post pictures from the meeting itself just to not bother the participants with their privacy.

How considerate of you!

Once again, it was a wonderful weekend altogether starting with a great joint flight of five of us!

Hopefully, we will have another memorable experience next October 12!

All the bests,

Hi Markus,

great report here as usual, nice to read about your experience around the MAN meet. Too bad I wasn't able to attend. Anyway nice flights here, well done to get the upgrade for three of you on the KLM flight. Suryo should have kept a muffin for the gate agent to get an upgrade as well   ...

Nice pictures from Chester, seems to be a really interesting place. Of course nice to have a travel companion with local knowledge here   ...

And finally great to read about your LPL-IOM experience. Especially since I have done the same route the other direction just last year.

Hi Markus, great report as usual and lots of great destination pics too!

Well done on the upgrade, but a shame for the two that didn't make it.

KLM look good in business. An airline that I must try out again soon... And so far they're in the running for my business to take me to ZRH in October. Although LX are winning at the moment with a nice connection through GVA. Then there's the Helvetic F100 through BRU also... So many options!

Great that you eventually ended up with a decent view at the Radisson too - had a similar experience myself a week previously, where I chose to wait for the desired room!

Looking forward to taking a look at the following part... I see its already posted!
