Hello all, I thought it’s high time to get back into trip reports. This one will cover various asian flights and other modes of transport, and will start here in Cebu due to KLM throwing my camera in my backpack to lost and found when I had a shower in the lounge.
28 April 2013
Cebu Pier 2 – Tagbilaran Port
SRN Fast Seacrafts Inc, dba Weesam Express
Weesam Express 6, port of registry Zamboanga City
First Class, seats 1E and 1F
I wanted to go with 2GO/SuperCat but they junked all but the 7am departure. So 2pm Weesam was the plan and my girlfriend’s father drove us to the ticket office. Fully booked. So we booked the evening ferry and went to see a movie in SM City Cebu. Bad mistake, the monster of a mall is unbearable with Sunday crowds.
Quiet terminal, TA to Cagayan
View from our F seats, they looked exactly as SQ 744 seats without PTVs did, totally worn out, auto recline, broken armrests
3 classes on this rather rotten ferry, Non aircon, Economy and First
They hit pedal to the metal in total darkness and it was more like a flying freezer inside… We made it to TAG just minutes late and took a trike to Alona Beach. I really recommend it but better not go alone. It’s quiet with great seafood on the beach and I can only recommend Alona Studios hotel and Giuseppe’s pizzeria.
Part 2 to follow soon if you like… a PR A320 TAG-MNL.

After a few fun days in Bohol (really nice) it was time to fly PR to Manila. Hilariously it was the cheapest between Cebu Pacific, PAL Express and the now gone Zest. PR has since switched all TAG ops to 2P.
Giuseppe’s, a top notch Italian resto
19-year old Tarsier grandpa
Ordered a taxi to TAG from the resort, overpriced at P600 at 5am but you don’t risk your transport in that sleepy town.
Somebody’s about to board her first flight, upgraded from 319 to 320. 02May 2013
Philippine Airlines PR172
Ninoy Aquino T2, Manila
Scheduled/Actual 0735-0580 – On Time
Fiesta Class, Seats 15A, 15B
Basic and old TAG
Shiny PAL A320
Nice and empty cabin
Basic snacks by friendly crew – dividing them domestic and int is ridiculous
Newspapers were also handed out and soon enough we were approaching MNL.
