Greetings, Everyone! Hope you are all well.

It's been sometime since my last report, and while I have been traveling a lot this year for work, I haven't yet done a report from some of my travels. But, I recently flew to Grand Junction and wanted to share some views with you.

I'm not going to spend much time talking about the flights, as they were very short, and very routine. I flew on Delta Connection (operated by Skywest) between SLC-GCT, and from GCT-SLC. Each flight was flown by a CRJ-200 and was 30 minutes in length. There was no beverage service offered either time, but on the way back to Salt Lake City the flight attendant did come through the aisle once with water. Both flight attendants said they were "unable" to perform a service due to very short duration of the flight, but would be able if anyone needed something. Oh well, I had the window, and I spent both flights enjoying the views above the Rockies. I apologize for the not such great quality of the pictures as I was using my phone. But, here they are for you!

My favorite from the trip. A great looking 757, and a beautiful day for flying!

My wife and I are off to Italy in two weeks on United, and I'll be covering that in detail. Till then!

Good short report. One nitpick, though: Grand Junction's code is GJT.

Thanks, Brendan! Glad you enjoyed the views. SLC is a great airport; it's well organized, and Delta sure does offer a good operation here.

I love reading about airports no one's ever heard about, like Grand Junction (at least I've never heard of the airport before).

I agree with The777Man, Italy is a great country to visit, although it can get pretty crowded with visitors and souvenir vendors in some locations. Two months ago we flew LAS-FRA-FCO; VCE-DXB-BLR-HKG-LAX-LAS on Condor, Lufthansa, Emirates, and Cathay/Dragonair - I wish I had covered it in a trip report! I'm looking forward to your report on Italy.

Again, great trip report and thanks for sharing.

Most of what you see in the center and left side of the photo is Deer Valley Resort. The town of Park City can be seen on the right side of your photo, with some of the Park City Resort ski runs visible above it.

Nice trip report and photos.

Yeah, I agree. It was a great airport to check off my list; definitely one that doesn't get a huge amount of traffic!

Thanks for the tips! I appreciate that. We're excited. We'll be in Milan only briefly, then in Florence for the main part of our stay.

Hi Matthew

Thanks for the interesting report. I really like the pictures you took. Some of those landscapes look really poetic, with those fat clouds casting shadows across the land. I particularly like the one you took of the empty apron at Grand Junction, with the hills in the background - big sky!

Just out of curiosity, was the flight operated as a Skywest service, as a code-share with some big legacy carrier or exclusively with the code of some other carrier?

Cheers,
William

Thanks, Philip! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, it was a great day for flying on both the outbound, and return!

Thanks, William! Glad you enjoyed the photos from the flights, and of the airport in Grand Junction. These flights were operated by Skywest, as a code-share service with Delta. Skywest crews operate flights on behalf of Delta and United mainly in the western part of the USA.

Great pictures! I use to love flying through SLC as CPK was a common eating spot! I did see the prices go from $8 to what they are now! Wonder if your 6 or 7th picture is that of fracking in the US?
