When I booked my trip this time I took care of choosing the right flights in order to get two different planes. And I was glad it worked well…
Check-In at Long Beach was fast, I was the only person at the jetBlue counters and so it took me only four minutes to get my boarding pass. There’s wasn’t anybody else at security and after five more minutes I took a seat at my gate. It was about 7 am, obviously rush hour at LGB. An AA MD-80 and an AA B757 parked next to an America West A319, and N504JB Shades of Blue was getting ready for take off to JFK. Another B6 A320 took off and I only saw it had a Dots tail, it was the first flight to OAK and most likely the plane I would have in the evening. Some minutes later, my B6 plane arrived from OAK, it was N528JB named Mi Corazon Azul.
Boarding was soon started and as last time we had to walk around the plane and enter it via stairs which gave me the chance to take some good pictures. Load factor was around 50% on that flight, about the same as two weeks ago. Next to us N537JB was parked, one of the newest B6 planes, named Red, White and Blue. We left the gate on time and after taxi take off was started immediately. Shortly after leaving the ground we already dived into dense fog, no good view on Long Beach this day. But right on time fog and clouds on the ground disappeared and I could enjoy a great view as we passed LAX below us.
I followed the moving map most of the time and watched the news on CNN. Drinks and snacks were served, the FAs were very kind and motivated.
After only 55 minutes we already were on finals to OAK and after five more minutes we reached the gate.
I decided to go to San Francisco Airport and therefore took the BART all the way down to Colma, the final station. There I took a bus shuttle which directly brought me to SFO. Since I had never been to SFO before I first had to get an overview of the airport. I asked at an information counter where I could watch planes and I was told I should try the roof of either Parking Garage A or G. I went to the 9th floor of Parking A and from there I had a good view on one third of two runways used for take offs. Except for the long haul and seemingly Hawaiian flights all the departing traffic had to line up down there and it gave me a good opportunity to write down registrations. I also got most of the arriving flights when they taxied to their gates. Traffic is somehow different from LAX, domestic as well as international. I got Korean and Asiana B777s, SIA A340, AF B744, DHL A300, and loads of United and UA Express.

Check-In at OAK was as fast as in Long Beach, and since I had plenty of time left I went to the Tower Lounge on the 8th floor. One has a good view on the airport from up there but staying longer requires to have a drink and regarding the prices that would not have been a good idea. I watched the traffic from the front end of the Terminal but most is only Southwest. B527JB Midnight Blue arrived on time and boarding was started only few minutes after de-boarding. Load factor was quite high, somewhere around 75%. Just after leaving the ground the plane was hit by a wind shear and made a sharp move to the left, not bad I can tell! We had a really steep climb and as two weeks ago I could soon enjoy a great view on Downtown San Francisco. Unfortunately, the Golden Gate Bridge was totally covered with clouds and only its lights were visible. It was interesting too see how many aircraft were in the air in the area, moving lights all over.
Though I’m not a fan of chips I chose the famous Blue Chips again, since they are really tasty. I watched CNN and the moving map most of the time and again we were early as we dived into the foggy Long Beach skies. Touch down was very rough and it caused some few passengers to applause as soon as the aircraft slowed down…I guess the pilots weren’t amused about that. Rush hour again, unbelievable but true, our gate was blocked. I was surprised to see N544JB out there, definitely one of the newest aircraft, named Blue Jean Baby.
It was funny, one FA had already attended the flight two weeks ago. He remembered talking to me last time and asked me when I was going back to Germany. Another FA joined our conversation and he was very interested in my hobby, my database and registration hunting. He said employees got a list of all names already assigned to new aircraft to be delivered and he asked for my e-mail address so that he can send it to me. When I left the plane he saw that I wanted to take pictures and he offered me to take one of me next to the tail and the registration. That’s what I call customer orientation! If you ask for something like that at a major carriers, don’t expect to get a positive answer very often…
Again I was absolutely impressed by jetBlue. Without any exception, everybody was very kind and highly motivated. Flights were on time, aircraft were clean, TV system worked well, check-in fast, everything was good. 10 points out of 10 for jetBlue, it’s definitely my favorite airline now.
If any people have doubts about the airline they should try them real soon, it should change their mind.

Thanks for your comments,
-The BART system is very easy to use (as long as the ticket machines work), and so are the busses.
-I didn't see any UA planes in old livery, only two or three B737 in white shuttle cls.
-It doesn't look like there are nine gates available at LGB, I thought there were only five or six.

You're did it again back on the Jetblue flying to OAK flight. Did you enjoy it with the your flight was doing good and improve with the better service of passengers onboard of the aircraft and did they made doing good on-time again? It should be best way to helped it out to be keep flight on-time, right? This is execllent reports as for yourself. Well, later!
