If u all want to know about my flight please read the following.
I started out my flight in Singapore Changi Airport to Melbourne International Airport on 30 December 2000. The flight was QF10. The reg. no of the aircraft was VH-OJP. The plane was a B747-400. It took off around 2030hrs in Singapore time although it was scheduled arouud 2015hrs. We reached Melbourne in around 0635hrs. The plane was full due to the holiday period in Singapore. I spent 3 days in Melbourne before continuing my journey to Launceston, Tasmania. I sat a BAe146-200JE to my destination on 3 December 2000. The flight was QF973 and the reg. no was VH-YAD. We started out at 1510hrs although the scheduled time was about 1440hrs and landed at Launceston at about 1615hrs. It was a Southern Australian plane which was a subsidiary of Qantas. I have to say this but the flight was horrible. It had lots of turbulence and the plane was rather small and old. I came back to Melbourne on 8 December 2000 at around 1540hrs on the same type of plane but the flight was QF964 and the reg. no was VH-YAE. It too was a horrible flight. I later transfered to the International airport and continued my journey with Qantas on QF9 to Singapore. There was another flight which was behind us and it was going to Singapore too. SQ228 to be precised. It was a B747-400 for both Qantas and Singapore Airlines. The reg. no for Qantas was VH-OJB. Yes it was the Wunala Dreaming plane. The Singapore Airlines reg. no was 9V-SMK at that time. I departed at 1730hrs Melbourne time and landed at Singapore Changi Airport at around 2137hrs local time. The flight QF9 was to continue it's journey to London Heathrow. I have to say that the food on board was not very nice and the seating was very cramped for an Economy class. To be honest, I would have chosen Singapore Airlines if I was given a choice but because of Singapore Airlines being fully booked, I had no choice but to take the Qantas flight. Comment: Qantas should improve their inflight entertainment and their food.

You people seem to be forgetting that they are proven to be the safest airline in the world. Does that not say something about where their money goes????.
I dont know about you, but when flying somewhere i deem the most importatn thing to be "actually getting there".
True, Qantas have fallen behind a little in the service area, but then puttinmg the shoe on the other foot some would say that the other airlines have fallen behind in the safety area.
Even though the qantas service has not been brilliant of late (and i have flown both QF and AN a lot this year, over 25,000 kms domestically) they have been punctual every time. On the other hand i have had four flights with AN where we were either delayed or had to change aircraft.
Internationally i think qantas still runs s pretty good show. AN have a few more frills and so does SQ. But i stand by my comment that i think the most imprtant thing for me when flying is the fact that i like reassurance in the fact that i am actually going to get there.
Just my opinion, but i do think in all these "QF Bagging" posts, this is one issue that has not been mentioned.
