This is my return trip back to Nashville. It was more exciting then the first trip. It started in the evening of October 20th. I got to the airport at 4:30pm for my 6:50pm departure. I was a little early so I had plenty of time to look around. FLL is a nice airport, at least the Delta terminal was, I was unable to see the others. About 6:20pm they started boarding the plane, they had said the flight was completely full, so near the end, they were asking for volenteers to give up their seats. I was in no hurry to get home, so I volunteered my seat. They gave my wife and I two $450 vouchers and since it was late, they gave us two free meal vouchers and a hotel voucher. She gave us our flight schedule for the next day. And this was the best part, she put us in First Class for the first part of our leg. I had never ridden in first class and I was very excited about the possibity. We went to the hotel and I had a hard time sleeping just thinking about the next day.
Monday came and we arrived back a the airport about 9:30am for our 11:15 flight. The plane arrived at our gate at 10:00am. It was Delta N119DL, at 767-300. They started boarding flight 786 about 10:45 and I got on first wanted to experience the whole first class experience. We were in seat 1C 1D. I hadn't been in my seat more then 5 seconds and she was already asking me if I wanted a drink. The flight left right now time and we departed runway 27R at 11:27am and quickly turned right for our north departure. We never settled at one altitude very long, we was a little bumpy and the captain kept trying different altitudes looking for smooth air. When you are in first class, time flys my very fast, we begin our decent about 12:30 and landed in Atlanta on 27L at 12:50. We arrived at Gate T-1 at 12:53 and I was the first off the plane. Our first class experience was over but it was one I will never forget.
We had a long way to go to get our other gate, coming off the T-gates we had to go to Gate D-32 for our next flight. Unfortantly we were not in First class, but it would be a short flight. We arrived at our gate and waited until the plane arrived. It was a 727-232 DL522DA. I had never flown on a 727 before so I was looking forward to this flight as well. They started boarding flight 586 to Nashville about 2:20pm. We boarded the plane and pushed back about 2:41pm right on schedule. We took off on runway 26L at 2:50pm and turned right again for our north heading towards nashville. The flight was to be 42 minutes. It was a very smooth flight, with overcast conditions in Nashville, I wasn't able to see much until we broke out about 1500 feet. We touched down at 2:28pm. So I got to relive about 20 minutes of my life again. Of course we did change time zones. We arrived at the gate at 2:31pm and my vacation was offically over. But now with $450, I hope to take another one sooner then I hoped.
I hope you enjoyed it, please let me know what you think.

I don't have any plans yet how to use the $450. We stayed in a LaQuita Inn. It was not bad, I am not complaining for a free hotel.
