I'll keep thing short here, since I forgot to take my watch(I only wear it when I fly! and I forgot it!)there are no flight times.

Flight left and arrive more or less on time

Easy check-in as i'd done it via phone the previous day, just show id and have boarding passes printed.

Through security,no problem and straight to the BA Terrace. This is huge,on 2 levels and is a great place to spend a few hours.Snacks, sandwiches, booze of all kings and of course Tea,coffee and lots of books, papers and.....Free Internet - guess where I went prior to boarding.

Boarding took place via gate 46.

The flight was 100% full.

Takeoff was from 27R.

The morning Deli breakfast snack was a Melted Cheese and Ham Baggette - very nice indeed!

We landed on-time but had to wait for our gate to free up - the Easyjet flight running late!

B737-436 - G-DOCE - 7F
Delayed

Arrived back at NCL just after 4pm.With my flight not due to leave until 17:40 that left plenty of time for a few drinks and snacks in the BA Terrace/Lounge.

When I arrived in the lounge I was advised the flight was now delayed to 18:30 due to ATC and late inbound airplane to LHR for the LHR-NCL-LHR sector. No problem.

Had a couple of beers, sanwiches, snacks and must have read Newsweek from cover to cover.

I must say at about 5pm that lounge sure packed out, almost every seat, couch and lounger(yes they have loungers in there!)was full.

Boarding came, and yet again a 100% full plane,BA must be doing well on this sector!

The inflight 'Deli' was a Chicken Caesar sandwich,i've had this before on BA and looked forward to it,it really tastes great!

Landed on 27L and pulled into the BA Gate 5 area(for those in the know!)

When the engines were cut,I switched on the phone - 19:53 - just over 1 hour late, but what the hell,i'd eaten and drunk plenty in the lounge so I was happy.

Despite the delay on the return, another 2 excellent BA flights.

In the last 5 months i've had 12 BA flights,a mix of Euro Traveler, Club and Domestic. All have been excellent and I cannot fault the service yet.

Keep it up BA.

Please, any questions or comments, feel free to post.

My next trip is at the end of the month.

LGW-PHL-LAX-PHL-LGW with US Airways and a Jetblue flight too!..can't wait!

BA seem to do very well out of NCL...........although for us who travel on standby, a slightly bigger aircraft could be more useful a lot of the time (320s/321s when they arrive!).

Doing LHR-NCL on Sunday actaully, and then maybe a NCL-BRU-NCL, which should be interesting, later in January.

Nice report.

Having flown both the A319 and B737-400 on the same day, what was your opinion of the two products - how did they compare?

Regards

Errr...you had to wait for a gate at NCL for EZY to leave....did you use the airbridge on the domestic side, as that is used usually only for BA to LHR flights, EZY just use normal gates without a jetbridge...

Interesting to see you flew G-DOCE on the return sector. I flew the same machine back in November from Kyiv-LHR. Nice aircraft.

Nice report.

Did BA use 757s on this route? Or has it always been A319s and 737s?

GKirk,

I assumed the one jetbridge was for BA only, however an Easyjet plane was on the stand in the morning when when arrived. The pilot also stated than we had to wait due to a plane on our stand.

Diesel1,

I've flown both types many times, but prefer the Airbus. The Airbus, even though it not that much wider than the 737 just feels so much bigger and roomier.I find the ride is nice and smooth.I'd take the 319 over a 737 any time.

LPL,

According to BA's web site they us a mix of A319,A320,734 and 752 from LHR.

LPL:
BA use a mix of 319,320,734 and 757, with the occasional 763 on NCL-LHR. On NCL-LGW, BA use 733/734/735 and RJ100 a/c...
