Hi everyone. This last Christmas my family went down to Mexico to escape the cold weather of eastern Washington (state), and to see my sister who is teaching in northern Mexico in a small town southeast of Hermosillo.
PSC to SEA
Our flight departed at 4:30 pm from Pasco airport. We arrived at the airport early and got checked in. Our luggage was searched then we headed over to our gate. Security was quick and before long we boarded the plane which was bound for Seattle. A nice plump flight attendant greeted us then showed us our seats. After we had departed she came around with a bag of pretzels and a can of pop (the entire can). The flight was only about 45 minutes, but the descent into Seattle was a bit bumpy. After we deplaned we walked around the airport for a while, got something to eat, then went to our gate to wait out the remainder of our five and a half hour layover.
SEA to DFW
The flight to Dallas was uneventful for the most part. I slept through most of it, but I woke up as we were beginning our descent into Dallas and my ears hurt REALLY bad. I had never had my ears hurt that bad when flying before.
In Dallas we had another long layover so I walked around the airport for a while. The airport, in my opinion, was a dump. Seattle has a much nicer airport.
DFW to CUN
American switched our gate on us several times but eventually we they settled on one which must have pleased them... We boarded the plane and took our seats. I must say that I don't notice much difference in the leg room in coach compared to other U.S. airlines. This flight was to have a "light breakfast" served on it. After we departed the flight attendants came around to serve our "light breakfast" and let me tell you something, it was definitely a LIGHT breakfast. It consisted of a Chewy bar and a cup of pop...not even the entire can, just a cup. A lot of the passengers were making fun of Americans idea of a light breakfast, even the flight attendants thought it was pretty pathetic. Anyways, we landed and went through customs which took quite some time, but luckily our luggage wasn't searched. Then we went to find my sister who was flying in on Aviacsa.
After a wonderful two weeks in Cancun it was time for us to leave. We arrived in Cancun airport and checked in. There was a huge line at the American counter but we eventually made it through, and our Luggage wasn't searched. Then we went through security and said good-bye to my sister then headed off to the international departures. Cancun airport is very nice. Much nicer than Dallas

We boarded the plane and took our seats, and waited to depart, and waited, and waited, and waited. We ended up departing about an hour late but it didn't really matter to us because we had a really long layover in Dallas. This flight was basically the same as the one coming down. It was fun to fly over the gulf of Mexico and look at the blue/green water. After a while of flying our plane landed and we went to our next gate.

I was quite happy that we would be on a 757 not a MD- 80. When we got to our gate we went to the counter to see if there were any first class seats available on this flight, and just to our luck there were two right beside each other, which was perfect for my mom and I, so we upgraded to first class for our longest leg of the trip. I was really glad to be spending the four hours in first class rather than coach. We departed on time and a meal was served. We had a choice of Beef or Chicken and my mom and I both chose the Chicken, which was NOT very good, but hey, its airline food. Sitting infront of us were these two annoying little girls who kept going to the bathroom and going back to their parents. The flight attendants had to keep telling them to sit down. They probably were bored. I always used to hate flying when I was young because it was so boring to me, so I guess that I understand. We landed a bit early then we headed to our gate.
SEA to PSC
We had exit row seats so we had a bit more leg room than we would have normally had for this flight. The flight was quick and before I knew it, it was over. We headed to get our luggage, but just our luck, it was still in Seattle so we went down to the agent to see what could be done and they said that we'd probably get it tomorrow, which we did.
I'm pretty happy with American and would fly them again. I like them much better then Delta though.

My mom IS an AA advantage member, but that isn't why we got the seats. We got the seats because the flight was oversold. It just must have been our lucky day, because if we had gone up to the desk any later they would have gone to someone else.

The international concourse wasn't very nice. There was a lot of remodeling going on and no seats, plus the a/c didn't work that good. The international baggage claim was also pretty dumpy. But the main part of the airport was very nice, at least in looks. However, smoking was allowed in the airport which made the air in some places not all that fresh.
Unfortunately, I don't remember how long the flight from Cancun to Dallas was. It seems to me to have been about two and a half hours or so though. I didn't write down enough information about the trip so I apologize.
This spring over spring break I am going to Belize on American also, so I will post another report then.
