This would be my first time on a BAe146/Avro RJ aircraft. We arrived at 06:00 at gate D24, an hour before boardingtime, where the HB-IXF was already waiting for us. This plane arrived last night from Zurich. After about half an hour there was finally some activity at the aircraft. The airbridge was being connected and refueling started. Boarding was on time but when we were ready for departure the pilot told us that we had an slot and we had to wait at least twenty minutes. That was because of a lot of traffic over France. At 07:48 we started our pushback, enginestart and taxied to runway 24. At 07:58 we started our take-off roll and we were off to Zurich for a full day aircraftspotting . We made a Lopik 1S departure and climbed up to 31000 feet. The routing was via Liege and Basel. I noticed that the RJ85 gets quite noisy when flaps are being retracted or lowered. Service on board was good but nothing special (not as good as BA ). At 08:37 we started our descent but soon thereafter the pilot announced that because of change of runway we had to hold for about 20 minutes. We would land now on runway 14 in stead of 28. After about 20 minutes in the hold, we started our final descent and it became cloudy and very bumpy. That's the only part I don't like about flying. Below clouds on finals it was still very bumpy but the landing at 09:14 was very soft. That was really the softest landing I ever experienced. We vacated the runway and had to wait a few minutes before crossing runway 28 and at 09:19 we reached our parkingstand F77. A bus brought us to the terminal and a few minutes later we were already on the spectators terrace.
The weather was really good and we saw a few very nice aircraft.

We got our boardingcard for this flight already in AMS. We went a littlebit too early to the gate. In the departure lounge at ZRH it is really boring. There is really nothing to do so we went for a walk to see if there is a place to watch some aircraft. Our flight was delayed for about half an hour because of a lot of late connecting passengers. So at 20:55 at stand I97 all four engines were started and we began to taxi to runway 32. Again a delay because we were number 6 for departure and the pilot expected a further delay of 10 minutes.
At 21:16 we were airborne and climbing to 29000 feet. Routing this time was via Luxembourg and Brussels. Some 50 minutes later we started our descent to Amsterdam and after a few right turns again a soft landing at 22:30 on runway 18C and taxied to our gate D24.
The seatpitch on the RJ85 was very good but on the RJ100 it was terrible.
That was the end of a great day at Zurich .
