There is a reason I have two trip reports and this was the funniest trip I had with a group and thanks to Roscoe(CO 757/767 first officer) for getting this from CO.
CO FLT258 IAH-DCA
No reg, couldn't get one cause we were in a hurry (they didn't want me to get the registration number.)
It all started at 5:30am riding out there with the other 11 of us plus four chaperones to IAH. After a attempt to get the van into the parking garage and bumping the clearance log we made it to the check-in area and for a hour we waited for him to get the boarding passes for us. We saw the security line grow and when he came with our passes, we got in line and went through and got to the gate just during boarding(Thanks a lot for making us wait LOL!!! ). I got my seat and we pushed back and waited for a few until it was our turn to taxi. After a wait and takeoff from 15R we headed to DCA.
After some questioning we got a lot of looks from the passengers and crew about us going there and what we were doing(don't worry it's not the bad one!!) they gave us a muffin and orange juice for me and after that they told us to stay in our seats when we descended into "Restricted Airspace"(you know the 30 min rule for DCA) we landed on runway 19 at DCA with some good views of the Pentagon and Maryland. We got off and I tried to get the registration number but they wouldn't let me so we rode the Metro to the Air and Space museum.
After a shopping bag full of stuff I bought we headed to the gate with one left at the checkpoint cause he didn't take something out his pocket. We waited for the flight to come so I got a sandwich and ended up with buffalo chicken instead of ham and cheese cause the person in front of me got it. After a hour, it came and we waited until it was our time to board. When I got on some of our people were talking to the pilot and I sat down and it was time to sit for our 30 minute sit over "RESTRITED AIRSPACE" and we took off from runway 19 and headed over the RESTRICTED AIRSPACE and we could get up and walk around the cabin. After an hour, I looked over to the other side and saw one of our friends wobbling his head with his fingers in his ear and the person sitting next to them tapping the one next to him saying "Your friend your friend!". I wasn't sure what was going on but it was funny as, well you know the rest of the word! Later on I went to sleep twice and ended up wondering where we were since it was dark and I couldn't see a thing.
We descended down and landed later on runway 27 and got to talk to the pilot and hear some silly joked about me talking to the pilots from Roscoe and heard about all the funny stuff that happened to them while there but it was great and funny. Here is the funny part: So we were going to the van and so the driver unlocks the doors and the alarm kept going off. So he opens the hood and tries to disable it and as soon as he shuts the hood it goes off again. So after a second try he gets it to start and we leave to go back to TSU's dorms for a excellent day.
The reason I bolded RESTRICTED AIRSPACE is because people don't know about that and the consquences of it like the DL flight with the air marshals on it but they still get up and the F/A's have to run afte them to tell them to sit down. Even though they say it they still don't care.
