I have been flying Tarom Romanian Airlines. First time winter last year.
Have flown Boeing 737 direct from AMS to OTP and Airbus 310 from AMS over TSR to OTP. All flights were great. My last flight was on the 15th of August with the B737, that used to be Estonian. It is called "Brasov". Great interior. By the way I flew business class and of course with a window seat. I especially like the scenic vieuws over the Romanian Carpatian Mountains and the Balaton lake. Great Airline in my opinion!
Soon I'll tell about my aviation experiences in Romania and in Holland, where I live.

Is there anybody out there, who can also tell me his or her experiences with Tarom Romanian Airlines and Romanian Aviation?

Passenger or maybe flight crew, who would like to share. Thank you.

I flew with Tarom in July to LHR from OTP. Business class. Great flight. Great flight crew. Little late leaving the gate but ontime arrival at LHR. Looking forward to flying with them again.

There are many airlines which I think are very good, but there are only a few that I will deliberatly go out of my way to fly with.
These four are at the top of my list.
Thai International
Singapore Airlines
Kuwait Airways
Lauda Air.

I personally like:

1. AeroMexico - Excelent service, great airline.
2. Singapore Airlines - One of the best.
3. Continental Airlines - I love to fly on CO's 737NG, very good international service.

The problem here is the difference between international and domestic flights on some airlines. There is a lot of difference between CO servece from MEX to IAH and CO service from IAH to CMH for example. Although you fly on the same kind of airplane and the same amount of miles, the MEX-IAH flight is better, with outstanding food and excelent service and in the domestic leg you are pleased if you get a sandwitch. I think that an airline should have the same standards on all of their flights.

Ive been travelling alot in Europe and in the US, and the airlines I like the most is

Braathens - a Norwegian airline - great fleet and excellent service.
Amercan - I flew with them from Ecuador to MIA, and the flight was a great experience.

I do not like KLM. On my trips with them, the service is usually not to good.

Gosh! Is there any question? Air Singapore is the BEST I've ever flown. I recently flew AS to China from NY and back to LA. The best I've ever had.

From a passenger's standpoint,

HA: I've always had great experiences on HA, the planes aren't great, but the service is good. Maybe the fact that they serve some of the most exciting destinations has something to do with that!

BA: There's a reason they're called "The world's favorite airline" great planes, employees, and very professional service

CO: (besides the fact that I work for them) I love EWR, good service to Latin America, very modern fleet

From a buisness standpoint,

WN: Southwest is among the top 2 or 3 best-run airlines in the world, their profits are staggering.

CO: 2 words: Gordon Bethune, plus it's pretty ballsy of them to start so much International service from EWR from scratch, esp. EWR-HKG!

VS: Virgin continues to amaze me. They have so much name recognition in the US for a foreign carrier. Kudos to VS for its marketing, and making Virgin Atlantic a household name.

The worst:

HP: I hate america worst, they now lack all that made me love them in the early days, plus I hate calling them to make reservations. You know your service sucks when you are greeted by "We are experiencing high call volumes, please call back later." Memo to HP, when those would-be customers are hanging up, they are calling WN, CO, AA, and DL!

LH: I feel like a bovine when I'm crammed into those hard-assed coach seats! LH= Livestock Hauler!

I like Air Canada and JAT

Air Canada: They have a young fleet and generous room in economy class. Also, they are the only airline (other than JAT)whose whole meal I actually finished.

JAT: The only reason I like JAT is because they have really good food. It's real food as opposed the usual airline slop they give you. But the interiour of their 737-300's is crap. It looks aincient.

In my opinion Virgin Atlantic can't be beaten.
I've always found the cabin crew, entertainment, and overall service superb. Well done VS!
