BA 902 B767-300.
I flew with BA on my way to Jeddah. I was booked on BA906, but my connecting flight with Egypt Air only left me with 40 minutes to transfer from one flight to the other, so the BA staff were kind enough to transfer me to the earlier flight even though my ticket was non-transferable.
We departed London a bit late, but we made up for the delay during the flight. Fortunately there were only like 30 passengers on the jet so each passenger had loads of room. Breakfast consisted of fruit salad, yougart, croissant and tea.
The steward serving my cabin was very helpful as we told me how to get to my next flight in Frankfurt.
We eventually arrived into Frankfurt 10 minutes ahead of schedule.
A really good experience, though expensive, but I would definintly fly with them again
I took Egyptair to continue my journey from Frankfurt to Cairo.

There was no problem transferring from BA to Egyptair at Frankfurt. I got my boarding card at the boarding gate. We managed to board the aircraft about 10 minutes before the flight, meaning we left around 15 minutes late. Even though the flight was full, I still had the seat next to me empty. The seats were very comfortable and the legroom was good.
For lunch we were served steak with rice, salad, bread, chocolate cake and juice which were very nice.
We got into Cairo on time.
Due to the hajj season the airport was very busy even though it was 11pm. My next flight was scheduled to be at 5am, but since I was traveling alone the airline was able to put me on the 1am flight (4 hours early) which I really appreciated.

The boarding gate for my flight was packed, but we were soon bussed to our aircraft. Again the flight was full and once everyone settled down, the aircraft left the stand 15 minutes ahead of schedule. We seemed to take a tour around the airport to reach the runway.
Soon after take-off dinner was served which similar to the meal on the previous leg, but with bigger portions. The flight itself was very relaxing as most passenger were pilgrims going to Mecca.
The stewards on the flight were amazing as they seemed to be working the whole time with a smile on their faces.
We arrived into Jeddah very early and parked up next to another 4 Egyptair aircraft.
Jeddah Airport was very packed so it took a couple of hours before we claimed our bags, so the airline staff were kind enough to go around and serve tea and sandwiches.
A very pleasant experience, and we had no delays despite the hajj season.
My journey back to London began at Jeddah airport. The airport was very crowded as people were returning after hajj. Despite that we were able to leave Jeddah only 15 minutes behind schedule, though the airline was not responsible for this.
Even though the A300-600 was an old aircraft I was very surprised that its interior was maintained very well. The seats were very comfortable and the cabin noise was quite low. An hour into the flight breakfast was served which was 2 sausages, mashed potatoes, bread and tea which I thought was more fulfilling than BA's breakfast.
We landed at Cairo on-time and were bussed to the terminal, which has been renovated in the last few months. Reclaiming baggage was a bit of a hassle, but I was soon out of the airport to enjoy a couple of days in Egypt before my return to London.
Most of Egyptair's terminal was been upgraded, but when I was there the work on the check-in area was just about to start so it took me about 40 minutes to check-in.
After check-in I browzed through the tax-free shops and had a coffee before going to the boarding gate. From there we were bussed to the aircraft.
Again even though the flight was packed we managed to taxi out on-time. I was allocated seat 29K and unfortunately I was seated next to a rude man. Before take-off I went to one of the stewards to complain, and the reaction I got was amazing. He first went to the other passenger and confronted him about his behavior, but he just stayed quite, so the steward told me to take my hand luggage and took me to Business (Horus) Class. I was absolutely amazed. Further to that, this steward gave me special treatment throughout the flight.
Horus class seats were so comfortable, being very wide with a lot of legroom. Straight after take off snack boxes were given out that had a sandwich, cake, croissant and yogurt. For lunch, menus were given out and I chose a delicious fish meal.
Attention by the stewards was excellent as they kept going around seeing what passengers wanted.
We finally arrived into Heathrow 5 minutes early and as we disembarked female passengers were presented with flowers.
All in all flying with the airline was an excellent experience throughout. The cabin crew are very hardworking and made the flights a delight. I would definitely fly with them again.
Overall I had a excellent flying experience with both airlines, especially Egyptair as a flew on four different segment on four different aircraft types and they were all great.
