got to the airport 7.15am as i had decided taking the morning flight instead of the afternoon one since i wanted to be in Glasgow before 6pm. Anyway checked-in and as I expected i was on standby for the 0800 Finnair flight to London. Proceeded to gate gave my b/c to the gate person and she said shell call me later if there is room. Well 745 she called me and sayed i have really no chances of gettin a seat but i could stil make it to the 0815 BA flight to London. So I went to the BA gate got a seat in econmy 20 C, an isle so i was verry happy. The plane was very empty and had two empty seats next to me.

The service on the flight was i must say the worst i have has on BA ever. We took off and mayby after half an hour be were offered cold breakfast..some ham..slad..cold bread oj. After that the F/A´s camé around with coffee/tea and more OJ. well that was the last anyone saw of them for 1.5 hours..(3 hour flight) mayby 45 mins before we landed they came around with a drink cart and then dissapeared again..not to be seen for the rest of the flight...was very suprised, and very sad i couldnt get a seat on the finnair flight...well landed to heathrow...went to the domestic check-in and once again...i was on...stand-by!!

well as it turned out i didnt fit on the flight so the gate person asked if i would like to try the Midlands or try the next BA flight 1115..i said ill wait for BA..and well then she checked me in and gave me a seat. Which i was happy about. I once again was sitted in the isle seat and once again it made me very happy  

well boarded the plane took my seat and well took-off. The plane was all Shuttle class (C-class on ticket) and well the service is more c-class then y. on the 1h flight we got a warm lunch (3h hel-lhr-hel is always cold food in Y) and drinks. The many times ive flown this route ive noticed that if you ask for e.g red wine they always give you two. So i usually end up sitting there with two of those little red wine bottles... well after the meal we were offered the normal coffee/tea before landing...

landed to Glasgow took and took a taxi downtown..

well got in to the airport with my friend around 14.30..(i lured her to London with me for a few nights) went staright to the BD gate check-in...wanted to try BD and compare the service with BA...wellthe nice lady took our tickets and was checking us in, but suddenly stopped since the flight wad delayed for 1 hour (weather in London) and the flight after that been cancelled, so they were taking no stand-bys...well...utterly dissapointed we headed for the BA check-in...only to find out that thir flight was 30 mins late and seemd to be full. Well we were put on the waiting list, so we decided to grab a bite to eat and a few lagers in the bar. Came back to the check-in 10 mins before dep. after 15 minutes me and my frinds watched the plane push back..Then the check-in lady came and told us that it was full, but she could put us on stand-by for the next flight to heathrow...so she did. well we only had to wait for 20 minutes before she called our and about another 20 stand-bys to the counter and gave us boarding cards. I was seated on a winodw just behind the wing and my friend had an isle infront of the wing...

The service was suprisingly bad for shuttle service..only afternoon tea with a scone...well probably London being a chaos affected it...

otherwise the flight was as usual landed in london, saw my friends partied   etc.

got to heathrow around 17.15, went to check-in and well...was put on stand-by again...went to the gate 17.30, was told to sit down and wait...a huge group of 30 was on stand-by too since they had some problems with Sabena...?!? As i was sitting on the gate iwas more than suprised to se an MD87 on this route since Finnair usually operates A321´s on this service. Well was dissaponting since the Airbusses are much more spacious. Any way was given a seat on row 17, middle seat (2-3) was kinda dissapointed until i noticed it was c-class!!! boarded took my seat..the found ut that we have to be on ground for 1 hours some techincal probs...was served drinks both in C and Y (17 was the last row in C so i could kinda see what was going on in economy) Finally took off, got hot towels, appetizer, menus...had some salad and lamb, cant remeber the dessert...had a few more drinks...fell asleep for a while and woke up when we were landing...

got through passport fast took my bags..and then due to the completely messed up cab system in Helsinki airport had to stand inline for the cab for 1(!!!) hour along a 100 othe people..mayby more( 3 flights from London within 30 minutes and a few otherones) at 1 am!

well finally got home and fell immediately to sleep.. 

so my return trip was quite well..not good all in all.

oh ive noticed that many people have posted here domestic US reports telling that movies are shown on like 3 h flights in the US??...weird...
