Went to MSP for a job interview at Mesaba on Jan 31.
NW042 PHX-MSP 925am-125pm DC10-40 seat 15C. This was ship #1154. BOarded and doors closed for an ontime departure. We had a completely full flight and the FA's did a great job helping everyone out storing their stuff. Took off on 7L and climbed into the sky. This MSP crew was fabulous! Peoples terrible times on NW are unfounded to me! I really think NW gets a bad rap for their history, not what they're doing now. Breakfast was served and it was banana, WARM bagel and cream cheese and honey nut cherrios. OJ or whatever juice you wanted. A really hilarious FA made a very animated announcement to invite everyone to "join us for breakfast today." Coffee and other drinks were proved for the rest of the flight and the video programing was provided as well. Arrived into a very windy MSP early at 115pm on gate F16.
Had the interview and ended up getting the job! YEA!
Feb 1 MSP-PHX NW1801 1830-2055 A320 ship #3208. I had seat 24A but swtiched so a little kid could sit nex tot his dad. So I had 26E, the last row in Y class. Doors closed at 1830 and we were off. Flying time 2:39. Dinner served... hot very hot, ham and cheese sub sandwich from DIVANNIS Deli, which was really great, a salad and a sugar cookie also. Drinks of course. Our DTW based crew was super friendly and very efficient. This was also a full flight. Landed in PHX early again at 2020, 35 minutes early!
As usual a terrific trip on NW. Going back to MSP in 2 weeks to start work. Can't wait to fl NW again.

Congratulations on the job! I'm currently accepted at Embry-Riddle and Jacksonville University, and have agreed to go to JU. In four years upon completion of the degree and my licenses (B.A. in Aviation Management from JU with all training provided by Comair Academy) I may join you in the skies, however flying right-hand on a CRJ. I shudder at the thought of commuter piloting making me think of places like Omaha as great civilization compared to others (no offense to my fellow Nebraskans).

Thanks for everyones congratulations on my job at Mesaba. Just to clarify... I have been a loyal NW traveler for the last 10 years and silver elite for the last 2. I have been through it all on NW, but only really the good stands out. I love the airline and everything it stands for and am so excited to be working closely along side a such a great company.
