we went to the airport at like 5:30 a.m. for a 6:30 a.m. flight out of State College. We checked in and because of a short delay, that took about 20 minutes. Then we got our bags scanned and cleared security and immediately went to our plane. We walked out of gate 7.

We got on our Canadair and took our seats. We took off and flew to Cincinnati, for a drink, i had cranberry juice and then i had a biscoff cookie. They let you have as much as you want. After an hour, we got to Cincinnati, and went from concourse C to B by way of some terminal bus things. We waited for our plane for about 1 hour (as i listened to Overture to Don Giovanni by W. A. Mozart).

We got on our Boeing 727 to Houston, which was a two hour flight. There were a lot of open seats, so you could switch if you wanted to. I feel asleep on that flight, but 727's are fast, as i've noticed from a southwest trip last year. I was listening to Flute Concerto in G major K. 313 by W. A. Mozart (good travel music). For snacks they had pretzels (that's what my bro had).

We got off the plane at houston after a long (but short) fligth and we got our bags. Houston is a busy airport, and it's so big. And then we left to get a rental car.

We checked in at houston, went to get something to eat oustide the airport, and came back and sat in concourse A for however long (about 1 and 1 half hours) becuz we were really early. I did a lot of French and listened to my mom's band (Penn State University Symphonic Band -she was 2nd chair Flute I- go mom!!!)
Then we boarded the Embraer at 6:20 p.m. for a 6:40 p.m. departure and that was a good flight becuz i listened to my cd (Overture to the Marriage of Figaro and flute concertos) and i had cranberry juice again and some biscoff's (only one but my bro took like 15). We got to Cincinnati, my sibs and i went to mcdonald's ( i had a chicken nuggets happy meal with diet coke) and we sat at the gate. Our flight got delayed due to maintenance probs or something like that they said. And we left on our Dornier at about 11:40 p.m. (originally 10:40 p.m.). We arrived home at about 1:00 a.m. I had orange juice, but didn't drink it all cuz it had ice in it. The flight attendant was nice. I was so cold. I had a thin blanket. I looked out of the window a lot and listened to Overture to Don Giovanni (Mozart) and Overture to Egmont (Beethoven) for the flight as i slept. I ate my 2 biscoffs which were good, but probably were full of calories. We got home, and waited for baggage claim (and there was maybe 10 ppl on our flight. The belt operated for about 5 seconds lol (cuz there weren't many bags). Well, we left at about 1:30 p.m. for the 5 minute ride home (boy that was an ugly plane lol, but what did i care, i was practically sleep).

2nd- I find it VERY hard to believe you flew on a 727. as no airlien flies them in commercial service.

I thought your trip reports were improving, but this one was a mess! You basically said "we got on an airplane and got off again". You didn't mention the following:

Purpose of trip (At least a sentence!)
What were the flight numbers?
Airline(s) used
What dates were these flights made? (Last week, last year, last century)?

And this one really took the cake:

" off the plane at houston after a long (but short) fligth"

How can a flight be long and short? It may be long, but SEEMED shorter!

You may want to write your next trip report in your word processor, review it for three days to see if you still like it. Then after you are satisfied that you have everything in it you need for a trip report, paste it into a.net.

I'm having a little bit of difficulty understanding this one...for example:

SCE-CVG is a pretty new route for Delta -- it only started within the last year or so. It would have to be Delta, since NW only flew to DTW, UA to IAD, and US to PIT and PHL.

CVG-IAH might have been flown by 727s in the past. However, since the SCE flight started, CVG-IAH only recently saw the introduction of mainline service, a 737-200. Currently, the rest is Comair CRJs and Chautauqua ERJs. However, until recently, it was only Comair CRJs on the route.

IAH-CVG also was on Delta, since you said it departed Concourse A (CoEx is out of B). You may have been on an ERJ (opb Chautauqua), so this one could be feasible. Yet, Chautauqua started flying DL Connection out of MCO in December 2002/January 2003, and only moved into Ohio base flying after AW shut down CMH (when CMH and then CVG picked up some flights)

CVG-SCE isn't though. Delta has never operated the Dornier (unless you mean the FRJ-328). In that case, it's understandable, but still, Delta only introduced the FRJ to SCE recently...it was doing BOS/LGA flying through early 2003, when the LGA ops were transferred to CVG. However, most new routes were opened with Comair CRJ-400s. Only recently were some of these routes downsized (within the past month) to FRJs, when BOS ops were replaced with Comair, and the FRJs all moved to CVG.

this one, i just wanted to just belt out becuz i knew that ppl were gonna ask me to put the return flight in the same as the going out report, and mine are usually so long that i didn't wanna do that (becuz everyone would be dead from reading that novel of a trip report).
yeah, it was a 737-200, i keep getting the names confused. It's the plane with the small looking engines. i'm pretty sure it was a fairchild dornier (that's what the f/a said, expedia said, and the little info cards in the seats said) and it was an ugly li'l plane with the wings on top of the plane (like an avro or a saab)
it was delta air lines (refer to the title) and comair (which is the same thing if that's what you were looking for).
we left on thursday july 1, and returned monday july 5.
the purpose of the trip was for a freaking family reunion in texas
it was long becuz it was like 2 hours + minutes, but i was listening to mozart the whole time.
i was just really lazy cuz i just had to get it over with, this way i could answer questions as they were asked (even tho writing a report this bad was a killer), but if you've noticed, i still haven't posted the return flight for a previous trip report.

ps: it was a fairchild dornier, we departed at 11:40 p.m. from gate A6 at Cincinnati International Airport. I mean i guess there is no way you could find that out for sure, so you're just gonna have to rely on my word cuz i would not forget a name like that (if you kno wwhat i'm say'n).

People actually don't mind reading long trip reports as long as they contain decent information and you warn them on top it will be a long one.
In the past, you have written some pretty entertaining trip reports written with a unique perspective. I usually have enjoyed them!  Smokin cool

You may want to make up a written outline of what is expected in a trip report, write the report and then check it against the outline to ensure that all the information is there.

In other words, we KNOW you can do better! Big grin

Actually, we DO have confidence in you.
I am happy that you are taking these suggestions constructively. It shows signs of maturity. Hang in there Chris, we just know you can do it right!
