I intend to update this trip report as the trip occurs. Everything you see here is my naive sense of expectation...
So given the lack of KE trip reports, I figured I would make a contribution to the community I love so much.
This is quite an interesting story, as it took much work to make this iten as I desired.
Yes, I know KE offers direct ATL-ICN service, however, they do not offer F class service on most of their flights. Fortunately DL has been very good about accommodating my eccentric desires. Given all of this and god knows what else, I am booked out of JFK to ICN. The good news is the fun aircraft I get to fly!
My ATL-JFK is a 763-ER with intl config. This gives me a nice BizElite seat to JFK. After a "short" 5 hour layover at JFK, I have the privilege of boarding a KE 744 equipped with the "Morning Calm" premium first class. As you may or may not know...KE is a bit behind in remaining completive with Intl F and J, but I am happy with a 180 degree flat bed. Following 4 days in Korea, I board an A332 to CGK. This is where I get a bit pissy as I booked an F R/T, yet have gotten stuck in J (If you can really call it stuck). Hopefully I can get them to put me in row 1 which is the "old" style F class. We shall see...
Anyway, given the lack of KE feedback on virtually every site I have run across, I intend to post under this topic detailed information about each segment of my little adventure to the Far East. This will include photos, so hopefully I can produce something interesting for the entire A.net community.
