To start, we had a bit of a problem @ CPT, we were on standby (as always *sigh*) and the first comair flight to JNB was about to leave, my dad got a bit pi$$ed off with one of the ground staff for not letting us on due to there not being any spaces left, we later found out that there were 21 EMPTY(!!) seats on the first flight, i wasnt bothered because it was one of Comairs recently delivered 737-300's, i wanted to go on a 732. As the first flight departed our next one came in, a lovely 732!! i was delighted!! we boarded to find some woman had taken our seat!!
We soon got her out the way and i sat down next to the window and check out my view. I WAS RIGHT NEXT TO THE THRUST REVERSERS!!! i couldnt wait for landing! Anywayz we pushed back on scedule and had a routine taxi to the runway, at wich point one of SAA's brand new A346's landed! we taxied onto the end of the runnway and waited for the SAA to vacate.T hen we started out take off roll...
Nothing too special about that, we had a couple of hard banks and a fast climb.
Time for lunch!!! I had a beautiful Pastrami sandwich, lovely
We started to decend and flew over some of jo'burgs famous gold mines, came onto finals an landed, THRUST REVERSE!!!! That was great seeing the old method!!!
We taxied along, past qute a few A346's... here is a pic i managed to take...

Great report! Love 732s, its a shame they're all being taken out of service. Great seat, right next to the reverse thrusters, WOW! They make a wonderful noise, don't you think! Did you get on okay going back to LHR, stand-by out of JNB is always awful. Do you, by any chance read "Airways" TupolevTu154?
