We arrived at the airport 5-10 min. before boarding as we already had checked our luggage the previous evening. Boarding started and we got in there first because Finnair let's families with Children board first if there aren't any UMs. I took set 3A and my dad took 3C, my sister took 2A and my mom 2C (wonder why they don't have 2B?). We had a 31 min. delay because they hadn't loaded all of the luggage. We pushed back and taxied towards rwy33, i was disappointed because i might have seen a glimpse of the first Finnair MD11 in the new colors if we would have taken off rwy04 or rwy22. After takeoff the meal service started, i got a Sandwich and some Orange Juice. I tried to sleep but didn't get any. Then they announced that children who wanted to visit the cockpit could do so, of course i went there, then the co-pilot put the test "pull up" command on and all the small children thought they were getting some coffeebread (in Finnish Pulla, so the the "pull up" command sounded a little bit like "Pulla")
Then we started our descent into Kittilä, we hadn't made up the delay and arrived late, during approach i saw the ski resort we were going to stay at, we landed on rwy16, we took our luggage and took a taxi to the ski resort.
Well, i, my dad and my sister got sick so we returned earlier than we had thought. We arrived at the airport early because we needed to change our tickets which we had bought for Saturday. We wen't through security and sat down in the waiting area. Then boarding was announced, as Kittilä airport doesn't have jetways we walked to aircraft, i took seat 2F my sister took 2E and my dad took 2D. We took off early of schedule. After takeoff we got the usual Sandwich service. The rest of the flight was uneventful until descent, my ears started hurting, but the pain went off. We landed on rwy22. We took our luggage and took a Taxi home.
Overall i give Finnair 8/10.
