Not sure if I'll have time to do a trip report, so I wanted to fill you in on the fantastic experience I had with Continental from EWR-LGW on 11/22-23, CO28, 767-200 N76153. Dunno if this belongs in trip reports or not... because its not a "formal" report.... Sorry if it should
There were many small touches I didnt expect from Continental that really made me feel like a valued customer. The crews were in the aisles helping wiht luggage, not just standing idly at their posts. After everyone was seated, the flight crew made sure to point attention to the blankets/pillows/headsets on everyones seats, and I appreciated that they were shrinkwrapped- an obvious sign that they were clean.
When the boarding door was closed, the crew came around with a silver cart, with a pink linen on top, and distributed newspapers to all the passengers who wanted on, and invited them to keep it. Once airborne, the flight crew activated the system, and I noticed that Continetnal upgraded its personal IFE a little bit-- the moving map feature has some new additions, like showing hte plane as a compass... and the in-flight trivia is quite nice to pass the time.
The crew came aroud with drinks and peanuts, and then collected the trash and came around with drinks again. Once the second drink run was done, they served dinner (quite nice, too) and then did drinks again. After the dinner trays were collected, they came around with coffee, tea and crackers. Then they did runs every 30 mionutes, and the flight crew was chatting away with passengers who couldnt sleep..
The breakfast was croissants with fruit-- and the croissants were warmed.
When the aircraft started decent, flight crews came around thanking everyone for flying Continetnal and shook peoples hands. 20 minutes before the captain made the announcement to be seated, flight crew topped off everyones tea and coffee and then collected trash as we broke through the cloud layer.

I guess that he's trying to compliment CO for their good service. It's a rarity these days on the US domestic carriers, and although it is standard on most international airlines, JBLUA320 is trying to give credit where its due. I didn't know it was a problem when people complimented good service by the airlines - there certainly is enough complaining, so it's nice to see something good once in a while.

While this isn't the right forum for this (there is a separate forum for flight reports), he clearly is expressing his happiness regarding his trip on Continental.
There is nothing wrong with this. Those of you with the flaming or sarcastic comments certainly have the right to express your opinions, but smacking the guy down for saying something positive about an airline is just wrong....and you know it.
We have pointed out to him that this isn't the proper forum for these reports and that should be the end of it. I DO, however, appreciate his comments, since this is important information to someone who does passenger travel consulting.

It was certainly nice with DL and UA but before 911.
Since then, these two airlines are something like a "nightmare".
The worst is DL : I've flown them twice in june, both domestic and intercontinental and I won't do it again.
UA is not that bad except for the food.
To go to Cleveland from Paris last week, I choose CO : they are now part of Skyteam and I did not want to fly with DL or UA.
Toward the other american carriers, I'm almost sure that CO is one of the best and I was really impressed by the F/A (very friendly and efficient).

jblu failed to point out the charge for wine/beer/alcohol in coach on the flights. That kind of nickle and diming chased this former plat elite away from CO. That and the inability to upgrade on most transatlantic fares. I'm glad you had a good experience JBLU, maybe they made some improvements and put back some of the cuts i noticed. Were you revenue or non-rev? Which cabin?
