I read a NWA FA post like this and I thought it would be cool to do one. 12/11 Report time was 0815. At our company you have to be in 1 hour prior at the gate 30 minutes prior and board 25 minutes to go time aslong as everything is alright. As we all know there are MANY things that can change that. I went to the crew room and checked in and got my liquor envelops... 4-for them for my 4-day. A friend of mine has just commuted in on the red eye from SNA to start her 4-day so she walked me up to my gate. At EWR we leave out of C-2 99% of the time. We have so many flights that occassionally we use C-1 and C-3.

I got to the gate 30 mins prior and kissed my friend goodbye. I got on the plane the crew had everything turned on and ready. I did my saftey checks and briefed with the captain. Today was an easy day 1 leg to MKE. We were full with lots of football fans that were going to a game. I can't remember who was playing but they were all wearing green. So we finished boarding 50 people in 50 seats. I got my final paper work closed made my PAS and saftey demo and phoned the captain that the cabin was ready for departure. It was a busy morning so we made a slow roll out to the runway. About a minute prior the F/O annouce for me to be seated for departure as we were number 3. I did my 30 second mental review gave a last look around the cabin for anything suspicious and off we went. Quick take off with light chop. We passed through 10,000 I did my PAS and started the beverage and breakfast serivce. Breakfast was a nut muffin and new york style cinnamon raison bagel chips. I get to row 7 BC to find the girl threw up all over the place on take off. It was everywhere. I gave her a bottle of water napkins and a garbage bag and told her to leave it on the floor. I called the captain to notify them that we had haz waste on baord the the rows could not be used on the next flight out. I felt really bad and smiled and said it happens! 2 hours later we landed and deplanes in MKE.

We had a very long layover in MKe we didn't leave till 1655 the following day. The following day we did MKE-IAH-COS. I like colorado springs. We have a nice hotel and nice views but this layover was about 10 hours to the minute and the following day was a long one. We got into COS at 2228. I went to bed right away. Our next morning DEPT was at 0900 to IAH. Once we got to IAH we had a 3 hour sit. NOT FUN.... It makes you tired to sit an not fly one right after the other. I went and had breakfast and caught up with some friends with the crew room. Our next turn was to LCH a 20 minute no service flight. We went out full and came back with only about 15 people. Once we got back we had another 2 hour sit grrrr and then off to BNA we went for the overnight. We arrived at 2137 went to our hotel. I watched some TV went online and then off to bed.

Next morning we had a 1130 DEPT to IAH. I had a 2 hour sit and it was like a family reunion in IAH. Saw tons of friends had a good time and off we went to MEM and then our last leg to EWR. It was a nice trip but the ending was a bit tiring. I had a nice crew and the trip paid well about 22 hours. I hope everyone enjoys it.

Well I know you know we do tonsssss of Mexico flying. We also do point to point to LAX, MAF and AUS to and from mexico. I think it's a nice country but I personally try to avoid it. I have done GDL twice and BJX. I love GDL! The hotel we stay at is I think a 4 star and it's in a really nice area. The problem is on alot of the flights not many people speak english. So we depend on a CD to do all the talking and PAS for us. I am going to try to bid VRZ. We stay at a beach resort and it's a long 30 hour layover!

That's very interesting report! mate Hope to write more about your next trip!

Hmmm Do you check the pax whether their belts were fastened after you finished safety demo? I have seen that the flight attendants didnt care about them.

I actually do my final walk through when the door is closed and I finish my PAS. After the demo is done I double and triple check to make sure everything is secure and latched and then I take my seat. I will definitely share more of my trips with you guys. I am glad you enjoy them.... I fly about 100 hours a month so I can drum some more up. Till then safe travels guys!

Great trip report!!!!!! Can't wait to read your next one. It would also be neat to see a trip report from a COEX pilot.

Glad I inspired you to write a trip report. By the way I like your user name. Are all your trips that easy? My friends at AIRLINK are always talking about thier 8 leg days. EECK!!! I leave for a lovely 4 day DC9 with 14 legs and short layovers. Oh the joys of being on reserve.

Well there not always that easy. To be honest we fly alot of long flights on the RJS. To major airports and destinations. I am kinda senior so I hold basically what I want. I can't do the 5 leg days. This month has been REALLY bad though. I have traded out mostly all of my trips and taken the good from the reserves... Sorry!!!!! The worst trip I have seen was a 4-day starting with a 5-legs day 9 hour layover and then a 6-leg day. Sorry but no way in hell would do that. We don't have props for a while now and those rules in our contract that says we can fly that many legs should only apply to prop flying!

I start a 3-day soon and we end with a 9 hour layover and a 5-leg day... All short hops...... Gotta do it once and a while!

Done all but ISP.....

Here is another trip report!!!!!

Had a 4-day cut into a 3-day do to family matters
Lets just say this trip did not start off well. I had a check-in around 1425 I arrived at EWR around 1330 to take my time as I always do. Upon arrival to the crew room I go to prit out my pairing and notice my first turn is canceled... Of course scheduling doesn't call me! Too much work for them! So I end not being pay protected for the turn because I did not initiate the trip. In other words it's another way for the company just not to pay us. So I basically had to sit around the crew room till 1950 then we board to YOW.

We get to YOW and it is about 26 below 0. I could not breathe it was horrible. Sorry no more canada for me this winter. We had a short stay about 11 hours. I love our hotel there. We were given the suites and the beds are great. The next day we made our way out to the airport. We checked in and worked YOW-EWR-MSN-CLE-MDT. It was a long day and a agent in EWR made my day horrible. On the EMB jets only certain rows have extra oxygen masks for lap children. I arrived at the gate noticed lap children and asked the agent to reseat them in the proper row. Well this posed as a problem because he actually had to do some work. So he ended up being snippy with me and after a second attempt I told him forget it and I was going to report this insident to my supervisor. After this report that one is next to the company.

So after we get to MDT we have a reduced rest over night which means it's 9 hours from block in to block out. Well of course the van is not there. When the van arrives and we get to the hotel I had exactly 7 hours and 15 minutes till I had to be back at the airport for a 5-leg day. So I get in of course you can't just go right to sleep. I finally dive in around midnight for a 5am wake up. We end up working out of CLE and of course there is a blizzard so everything is late. Our schedule was MDT-CLE-BUF-CLE-ALB-EWR. Thank God ALB-EWR is blocked below 55 minutes NO SERVICE. I literally was so exhausted if I had to do one it would of been poor. The flight ended up being around 25-30 mins and of course late. We finally land deplane and I ran out of the airport like a bat out of hell. Once I get outside I feel so much better to leave the complaining and whining behind..... This was NOT a good trip..... My trip next week is much better.... Enjoy guys.
