Today, I was on AA #670 AUS-DFW. This flight started out well in the cold rain. We had a brief pause on 35L at AUS for a 5X cargo to land. Awesome site in the dark. I think it was a A319/320. I was in seat 3F and had the best seat in the house. Turbulence was horrible once we got airborne, flew right through the rain storm.
Of course I was at DFW, and was forced to play connection musical gates. I went from C22, to A11. Love that people mover at DFW. I get on the S80 finally around 850am CST. The fury of the snow hit early. After taxing all the way from A terminal to our active runway near C terminal, we have the Captain come on the horn..."there is an electrical issue"
We turn, and go allllll the way back to our gate. The send some guy onboard to fix it. They finally get us ready to push back again, and they discover, we waited so long, ice had built up on the plane and we were "in line" for the de-icing machine. Machine #13149 took care of us in a timely fashion. Finally, over an hour after are departure time we are in the air.
It took us so long to get to SNA, they had given up our gate. We have to wait on the plane, for another 30 minutes for a gate to open up. The captain comes on the horn and says the following..."we were gonna get this gate yall, but they are having 'mechanical' and can't get the door shut. So we wait, not 20 yds from the terminal, another 15 mins.
I was due in at SNA at 9:31am, and I think my mom was there to get me at around 12:10pm. Anyone have any lovely holiday stories to share?

I was working today out at the airport and the snow did start earlier than they thought. AA had over 100 cancellations when I left and an other band of snow was moving in.
