SQ236 BNE-SIN...Push Back on time, our departure was off RWY01, departure saw us fly out over the Pacific Ocean with a right turn on climb to FL370, we continued the right hand turn an overflew the field at 7000ft and then set course NW bound for Singapore.
Food on this flight was great, can't remember the exact food but i was nice, also I can't remember my glass ever getting empty on this flight
Flight was quiet full in Y class and only a few spare seats up the front in J class.
The older style fabrics in the J class seats were very soft and plenty of leg room in Row 12K. If you are flying J class and want to get up to take a few photos, i recommend Row 12 on the window sides because you can get in and out easy with out waking the PAX next to you.
Aboard SQ236 you get to see one beautiful sunset, whilst flying over AUS..In summary, fantastic meals and service in Raffles Class and a very smooth flight of 7hrs and 30min.
Our Arrival saw us in RWY02R, taxied in for Gate F39.
SQ235 SIN-BNE...Push back was slightly delayed as 9V-SRA was late arriving from its prior destination. Push back was about 21:40 (25mins Late)..Only a short taxi period to RWY20L from gate E22. The WX was pretty crap out of SIN and we encounted slight turbulence during the climb out. But as we established at our cruise level of FL380 the weather was calm all the down to Brisbane.
I sat in 16K on the way home which gave me the chance to catch a few shots of the beautiful rich colours of the sunrise, but its the worst seat to get in and out of when the seat next to yourself is occupied. I was up all flight because the person next to me had his seat in the sleeping postion and the person infront of him had their seat in the same position which means you have to sometimes wake them up to get out for the toilet or a walk, which makes them a little peved off but you get that. So for 7hrs i was talking to the flight crew and cabin crew having a great chat about general things, and eating a few mini tubbs of ice cream.
Our arrival saw us into RWY01, with a smooth landing from the F/O.

I did enjoy your report yep!
Sounds like an interesting departure from BNE. T/o pretty much north, rwy 01, the head east, then south, the west, over the airfield then north west for SIN. Is that the normal routing?
Anyway I like your photos from the flights, the cockpit shot is great. SIA look dam fine as well!

Thanks Alex, yes mate that is the usually DEP routing as the airspace step ends not far from the end of the field from what i know. Although at night when i have flown out off RWY01 we have just made a correction heading to set course straight to SIN...Must depend on time of day etc:.
Was only a short trip up and back aswell, just up to see SIA and then home.
Im glad you enjoyed my photos Alex, and like you said SIA does and is a very fine product mate.

Thanks for a very nice report. I can barely wait any longer to see the world. I hate the fact that I've never left North America . Nice set of pictures you decided to include too.
