Well then, I now know how to put my pictures online, and I've got two First Choice flights under my belt, so I think its the appropriate time to do a trip report!

I flew exactly the same flight in 2003, when they were called air2000, and this year I sat in Premium seats...classy!

So then, lets get started!

AIRLINE: FIRST CHOICE AIRWAYS
FLIGHT: FCA857C- NOTTINGHAM EAST MIDLANDS - PALMA DE MALLORCA
AIRCRAFT: G-OOAH
SEATS: 2A, 2B, 2C

Well, Nottingham East Midlands is a nicely sized airport, and is a pleasure to fly from, and as we booked exactly the same holiday as in 2003, we were on the same Aircraft, Airline, the lot.

This year we decided to go Premium, which features on FCA's (First Choices) A321 aircraft, and we parked at the Airport, instead of getting a mini-cab.

Here is a rubbish view of the Airport, if you can see it!

The Airport is nice inside, and easy to navigate, but can get busy at times! Premium passengers got extra baggage, and priority Check-in as well as priority baggage tags, and so this made things easier.

Here are some pictures from the Airport lounge:
The beautiful G-OOAH, what I would be flying on!

Balkan Holidays Air

And a MyTravel, pulling away!

I'd ate some food, and was ready for some flying! Big grin

The A321, was lovely inside, the turquoise leather seats look great, and they contrast well with the Blue for the premium passengers.

Some quite loud music was playing, and this continued for about 10 minutes into the flight, seemed to be 80's pop songs. (Diana Ross-Upside Down / Heat wave - Boogie nights / Odyssey - Back to my roots / Kool & the gang - oh la la la- lets go dancin' / ABBA- Knowing me knowing you) etc. We were handed Bucks Fizz, and free headphones, and as the Safety demo was being played, we started to move. We took of to Michael Jackson's, Can you feel it, which was appropriate really  Smile. You could see all the passengers in EMA looking at us, and we pulled away over the M1, off to sunny Mallorca. I don't have any pictures of the flight, as I never had any intentions of joining this website at the time-sorry!.

The flight was smooth, apart from a moment when I was drinking the breakfast Orange, what a mess! Entertainment was Shrek 2, which was fine, but I just listened to music! Our breakfast was served, I wasn't really in the mood for it, so my Dad ate mine, and this is what it looked like: Photo from Airlinemeals.net

The service onboard was very good and professional. The seats where nice and comfortable, with generous legroom. The in-flight magazine seemed informative and the flight seemed to pass by quickly.

Outside the window were some great views of France and Spain, and just watching the world go by was nice.

We were told that landing was upon us, and some great views of Mallorca could be seen when we were landing, and just before landing I saw a Mallorcan windmill, which reminded me of the year before.

Landing was nice and smooth, and getting off the plane was simple. I won £5 on the scratch cards, which I forgot to spend so kept it until the Inbound flight. As you step off the plane, the heat hits you, and a long walk awaits you to the baggage collection (4km I think). The size of Palma is massive, about the size of a small city I have heard, and the airport itself is very clean and I think an amazing place!

The flight itself wasn't much different to last years apart from a few luxury's, but it wasn't drastically worse or better, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was on my coach off to Puerto Pollenca where I would be for 2 Weeks.

My report is not finished, and will be completed before next week  Wink

Cheers, Ryan

Good to hear another FCA report. I flew them last summer MAN-TFS on their 757 and was impressed with the service and food - thanks for using my photo from Airlinemeals.net by the way, I thought it looked familiar!  Wink

Excellent, good to see more of First Choice Airways coming onto this forum as there has been a distinct lack of FCA reports.

Great!

Thanks for the nice comments!  I'll make sure I report on my upcoming Britannia flights!, and get some more pictures. I doubt they will be any better quality though, I haven't got new camera money  bigthumbsup . I'll just use my Dads Jenoptik camera again!  laughing

First Choice are definatly the best Charter Airline at the moment, I could't find a thing wrong with them, and the general reviews about them online are good to. If it wasn't for MyTravel, they would definatly be my favourite!

Have the changed anything in premium since 2002.

Two Free Drinks?
Increases Baggage Allowance?
Free Headsets?
Increased Legroom?
Better Support In the Seats?

I think reading this im going to have to try it again this year.

Flown LGW-PMI (B757) PMI-LGW (A321) and LGW-MAH-LGW (B757) - Never had any problems, always punctual and friendly. Only thing is all the flights i seem to go on always depart/arrive at remote gates at LGW!

Nice one Ryan, I'll be reading part two in a minute. Can't beat FCA for service, I flew on a 757 to TFS and back in October they were brilliant, much better than TCX I had flown with a few months earlier.
