In 2003, I took the same flight, but a few Weeks earlier, so I have included some snipits of that flight too!
Down to Business!
My holiday in Mallorca's Puerto Pollenca had finished, and it was time for me to return to Derby.
Here is a few photo's of the holiday. After a Storm mid-way through, the weather was quite poor for a while.

On to the Flight.
First Choice Airways had impressed me three times up to now, and I was genuinely looking forward to my flight home. Palma Airport is Lovely, and is a great Airport to fly from, and offers good views of the planes, which were mostly charters. It copes well with the amount of visitors well.
Here are a few pics:

Here is my boarding pass from 2003:

and my Boarding Card from this year 2004:
you can see this year I was in premium class, two rows infront of where I sat last year.
We were bussed to the cabin, and we were welcomed aboard the Airbus A321, one of my favorite aircraft. It was the same Aircraft as the outbound flight G-OOAH, and this would be my forth time on her. Formally with Leisure International Airways, she has been flying since 1998.
Inside, there was no music playing, and we sat down on the last row of seats in Premium class, just in-front of the curtains. Soon the music was put on again, and the condensation smoke stuff started to fill the cabin, and was interesting to watch. After the safety video, we began to move. We traveled towards the Runway listening to Diana Ross again, and quickly took-off. Some beautiful views of the Mallorcan bay could be seen, and a lovely view of Ocean Village's cruise ship Ocean Village.
We were soon off back to EMA, and I was really enjoying this flight better than the Outbound. We were offered our free drinks, and the entertainment started. I didn't pay much attention to what it was, as I was just listening to my own music. The blue seats where comfortable, and there was plenty of leg-room, and I was happy looking out of the window, watching the world go by.
Our meals then came, and the meal was simply amazing. Here's a picture:
Thanks to Mark Allen, of airlinemeal.net for the picture!
Here's a description of the meal which I made a few post's back. The thread asked the question of "What's the best meal you have had on a flight?":
The best meal I had was on First Choice in 04, on return we were given Sausages in a vegetable Potato mash with Red wine/onion gravy,
A cabbage, spinach and mushroom pastry, a bread roll, crackers and a Chocolate sponge pudding. Very nice indeed!"
After the nice meal, we where offered Tea and Coffee, and I received another scrarchcard. I won again, another scratchcard. So I asked the Steward for another and I won £1. As this was near the end of the flight, I had no time to spend it, so I just gave it to a stewardess on the way off the plane, and said that she could have it.
Landing was very smooth and offered great views of below. We passed over the M1, and landed very softly. The plane parked up, and we were bussed off to baggage claim. I was very happy with the flight, and so were my parents. "it seems my Premium idea was worth it then" I thought.
Saying goodbye: Photo's at East Midlands after getting off the plane:
On to passport control, and through baggage claim, and I was out ready to go home. I was glad to be home, and to had flown on First Choice Airway's a second time. A nice experience, and I recommend it to anyone, especially the Premium class if it is available. It's well worth the money.
Thanks for reading, and happy flying. Comments greatly appreciated.
I was searching around some old photo's today and found some pictures of me getting on some Airtours aircraft.
I was born in 1990.
1993- getting on an MD-83, my second flight ever!

Again another cool report. Glad you enjoyed FCA, they seem pretty much the best at the moment. Do First Choice only offer premium on their A321 fleet then? (except longhaul). The 757's don't seem to have it, not sure bout the A320's. Why is this then?

The aircraft that have the Premium Shorthaul are the A321's.
I remember flying a B757 some years ago now when they were trialing the premium shorthaul on those, it must have not worked out though. It seems a very good idea also.
However it only the smaller airports like, Bristol, Stansted and East Midlands that get the A321 and the Premium so maybe it something to do with that.

Didn't succeed Hopefully I'll get a number when I am older, when
I'm hopefully a Pilot!
You see me here when I was about 6, getting on-board Airtours A320 G-VCED in Greece. Just after this photo was taken, and we were on-board, I think during taxi, My Dad told me that I said I could see smoke coming out of the engine. He didn't really think much of it, but then some stairs were put towards the aircraft, and the emergency services came. The crew on-board said "a red warning light" had come on in the Cockpit.
Airtours offered us Champagne and Orange juice and some crisps I think. Good old Airtours. Luckily the problem was fixed, after about 30mins, we were on our way back to the U.K.
Just thought I'd tell you a little story about G-VCED, and my experiences with Airtours.
