I had waited oh, 15-17 years to finally take a trip on THE best airliner ever to fly, the 747. (nevermind I have a 747 tattooed on my back, or my license plate has 747 on it), so I cashed in 50,000 of my CO One Pass miles, and paid my hefty $70 in taxes for the 4,336 miles journey from MCO to LGW. I departed MCO on March 2, 2005 at 8pm and after a 1/2 hold southwest of Gatwick, touched down at 8am local for a 8h15m trip. Great Service. Spent a few quick days in London, and returned back on March 5th, departing at 1245pm local and touched back down home in 8h20m. Great experience, tried to catch a few photos up on the flight deck, the furthest they would allow me was some photos out of the upper deck windows...security reasons. Oh well. Glad to have finally flew on a 747. Joe

nope, on my left shoulder blade. 747-400 about 5" long, 3" tall or so...its slick, and I'm still new to posting stuff on here, so I will have addtional info such as, I flew Barbarella over there and Hot Lips on the way back...i forgot to add stuff like that, and my photos didnt come out too well, so I guess I'll have to fly over again for better photos, haha

They looked great inside, the seats a bit worn, I was in 47A there, 55A back, but comfortable and very clean. Upstairs was meticously clean and sharp. The upstairs crew rest area door was open , so while walking around I stepped inside and looked up there. Was neat. G'day Mate!

I flew those routes a few weeks back, most of the LGW based VS planes are not that old (about 2001) so are in pretty good condition. The only problem with VS for me is, and iv always said it, is the prices they charge.
Glad you had a good trip anyway.

Yeah sounds like u had a good time.
Do they play music on the speaker system prior to t/o and landing? Im asking because Virgin advertises to be a "hip" airline (that's what it seems like to me) plus with Virgin Records it seems like that would add that extra kick to all their flights.
