Flight: SN/TV 5851 operated by Virgin Express
Departure: BRU 7 am
With a bus we were driven too the aircraft. At 7 am everybody was on board of the Boeing 737-400. I had enough space on board of equipment. Take off was around 7:30 because they had to wait for permission from ATC. BRU seems to be very crowded. (it's already the second time that I had to wait for an half hour) Finally we were in the air. The flight was very good. The airplane flew over GVA, MRS and then a right turn into BCN. We got a small bag with a sandwich and tea/coffee. The flight attendants were also very friendly. So that was a good flight. And we arrived almost on time.
Arrived: 9:16 am instead of the scheduled time of arrival: 9 am.
We checked in at the beatifull terminal 2 (or B). The tax free area is really modern and there were a lot of shops. Our incoming flight arrived on time and so we boarded on time for our departure too BRU. We sat in the back row and I had no space this time for my legs. The flight was completely full. We departed a half hour late. The flight was very rough because there was alot of turbulence. But that makes the flight excited. Strange thing this time. Almost nobody of the flight attendants could speak Dutch. French was their second language and I can't really say that that was perfect. But when the flight attendants gave their announcements it was in four languages. English, French, Dutch and Spanish. During this flight we got a drink and that was all. After one hour and 40 minutes we landed into Brussels at runway 25L. The airplane taxied too the Sabena Technics area.
Arrived: 7:43 pm instead of scheduled time of arrival: 7:45 pm.
Overall score: not too bad. It could be better but I went for BCN for the city and not for the flight.

How was your stay in Barcelona? You sound like you had quite a good trip. I flew a couple of years ago from BCN to BRU on a B737-300, also operated by Virgin Express. All I had was orange juice but I enjoyed the flight, I had spectacular views of Northern Spain and the Pyrenees. I really liked the Barcelona airport, it was very beautiful and modern. I have never been in the city itself but I heard it was big and very neat. Two airlines fly from BRU to BCN: Virgin and Iberia.
