Another great report! RG F looks much better than I have read before. I guess you just don't like caviar, one of my pet peeves is when airlines such as BA and UA don't serve caviar in First.

Either the Thai military makes you travel a lot or you have very itchy feet! (47,000 miles in a month is pretty high for an 'average month'!) Regardless we are the beneficiarys of another excellent report
PS. Doesn't it annoy you that you have to make a separate post for each picture on that website?

Great trip report! Good to see that Varig by far keeps with their service (IMO one of the best in the world). The problem is the lack of good equipment as they have only two good planes to face competition (PP-VRA and VRB, both 772ER).
I use to travel RG business on domestic and some int`l routes and i know the quality of their service is incredible!

Great pictures thank you. I flew on Varig on a 707 from Rio to New York in economy 27 years ago and it was great. However I am not sure whether they have maintained the quality of service as they too are facing hard times.

Well done. Excellent trip report. The food looked very delicious. Great to have a trip report of an airline, of which there aren't to many trip reports.

You are right! Despite their financial problems, RG is a good airline after all. The problem was their not updated MD11. Look at this instead:

As Felipe mentioned, RG's problem is the outdated planes/seats. RG seats for a first class looks even worse than an average biz class seat on a good airline.
However, RG service and food can make it up!
Nice to read another good report on RG, despite all its financial problems!
