Date: August 26
Flight: NW 587
Departs: Orlando-Int'l, FL (MCO) at 1:28PM
Arrives: Minneapolis/St. Paul-Int'l, MN (MSP) at 3:47PM
Flight Duration: 3 hours 19 minutes Miles: 1,304
Seat: 35-A
Aircraft: Boeing 757-300
Totally uneventful flight. Departed on time, arrived on time, no upgrade, basic snack box service, and pepsi for me since I had to travel in uniform on this flight. The snack box is actually not very good, and should have contained more actual “food”. The legroom is not very good far back in the 753, but the noise level is quite acceptable.

I had taken the same flight one month prior, and got an upgrade on that flight, so I hoped for the same on this flight. I had a problem with my FB status, so the check in agent had to confirm it manually. After he had done that, he said the upgrade chance was 50%. I talked to the gate agent, and a while later I was called to the desk for a new boarding card. I got 4A (if I remember correctly). Really good service by NW, and good food. Beeing in the front of the 753 is very nice, it is so quiet. Probably only beaten by the MD80 and MD90 when it comes to noise.
Here are some pictures of the 1. cabin on NW 753
Predeparture drink:
Legroom. I’m 6’4”, so it is ok
The dinner was salad, chicken and some other stuff I really don’t know what was, but it tasted good. Bread and a brownie were also served, accompanied with red wine, ice water and coffee.
All in all, NW provides a good 1.st class product and an ok coach product. The 753 is my one of my favorite narrowbodys, only the MD's are better in my book. I have and will book more flights on NW, since I really enjoy their prices, hubs and service. Another 4 segment report in 1.st will come soon.

I've been on the 752 and it's huge to me, so the effect must be that much more on the 753 with the extra rows of seats.
Was entry from the first or second door? Most of the time it is the second door - I guess so as not to have boarding intrude on the first class cabin. Only once did I fly a 757 where we exited from the front. If I'm not mistaken, the cockpit was a step-down affair!

Glad to see you are enjoying NW domestic First. It is always good to see a CO fan give NW a try and be pleased with their service. NW is certainly a decent carrier when it comes to traveling up front, the back is another story.
Shame they don't fly to DAB, otherwise we would be set!

Yes, both flights was boarded from the second door. I think I've had one boarding and one de-boarding from the first door on the 757 this fall, but I cannot remember which flight it was.

To be honest, I find NW domestic first just as good as CO domestic first. Bizfirst transcon is another story of course. I'm actually writing a CO transcon-report right now, stay tuned.

Yes, but the prices from DAB are to high, so that would probably not have been an option anyway.

Good report(short) and photo's.
The thing that strikes me is the seats, they sure don't look that great for 'F' seats, the US A32X 'F' seats are much nicer - those NW ones just don't impress at all.
