Hi,
I just purchased my tickets to Athens at the end of the month for my honeymoon (looking forward to them greek isles!), and, unfortunately, I was not able to get a seat on Singapore Airlines which is my usual first choice. However, the upside of it seems to be that I get to fly on EK for the very first time!
A quick check on Emirates' website reveals that I'd be on a B777 from Singapore to Dubai, and then an A300-600 from Dubai to Athens, with a stopover at Lanarca, Cyprus.
Just some quick questions to anyone out there who knows: Does EK use a B777-200 or B777-300 for the leg from Singapore to Dubai? The economy class seating on EK's B777 is arranged 3-4-3, which seems to me to be too cramped for a triple-seven (ie. as opposed to the normal 3-3-3); is the seating in such a layout comfortable? Does the A300-600 have PTVs in economy?

Hi Shabaz,
Why do you not recommend EK? I've heard such conflicting reviews of the airline that I'm quite confused.
Gulf Air did not have a flight on my preferred date of travel. Maybe another time in the future.

EK is a good airline. I've been on the A300 DXB-LCA it was an ok flight, the PTVs are quite small compared to the ones they have on the 777/330. I think your flight to ATH from DXB is nonstop and from there it continues on to malta...
