- very early RJ bird - 5:54 AM flight (first flight of the day out of CMH, I think)
- saw old friend of mine who is sky cab at CMH - did not recognize me first - we gave a hug to each other
- talked to former co-worker of mine at America West, she was thrilled to see me
- had cup of Starbucks coffee at CMH - did not sleep prior to flight
- flight was full, no one bought inflight food (Food for Purchase) except me - flight attendant did not collect $3.00 from me
- sun rose during very smooth flight, nice sight
- very low ceiling in DFW, did not see ground until about a minute before touchdown
- spotted America West "Ohio" 757 in DFW! I think that the Ohio plane had mechanical problem - it was there the whole time before my arrival and after my departure in DFW
KDFW - Dallas/Ft.Worth, Texas - KPSP - Palm Springs, California
- three hours layover in DFW, ate breakfast at Friday's
- took tour of DFW on Skyline train, very nice - full loop of airport is about 20 minutes on Skyline
- got new seat assignment - first row in coach (7D on Super 80)
- it was sprinkling (rain) outside
- flight 10 minutes delayed - crew not available
- three pretty flight attendants, nice and professional
- very bumpy flight, seat belt sign on until the very end
- plane landed real hard in PSP (bang!)
- saw Pan Am 727 in PSP - it was getting ready to depart PSP
- no problem with my checked-in baggage, AA did great job

KPSP Palm Springs, California - KORD Chicago O'Hare
- PSP is very small airport, open air terminal with 8 gates (?)
- flight was M83 aircraft
- my seat assignment: 14A
- full flight, departed PSP on time
- smooth take off (did not stop on runway prior take off roll)
- had nice view of western desert and mountains
- flight hit turbulence for few minutes, flight crew had to sit down
- had 2 cans of Coke (did not use the lavatory!)
- got snack box for free again, not again
- landed in ORD during beautiful sun set
- weather was little wet (misty) in ORD
KORD Chicago O'Hare - KCMH Columbus, Ohio
- RJ flight
- 7:09 pm flight delayed for one hour, then two hours, then three hours
- gate changed five or six times!
- walked around concourse H, K, and G - not a busy night for ORD
- AA put me on next flight (8:41 p.m.), made sure that my checked bag is re-routed, gate G1B
- seat assignment: 15A
- almost full flight
- had drink of grape juice, asked the male F/A for an extra bag of mixed snack, he gave me two saying "I can't count"
- long haired blonde female Captain piloted my last flight! (did not see her until after the plane landed)
- my checked bag made it to CMH on same flight

Hope you enjoyed my home airport! I really enjoy watching the AA Mad Dogs come in as AS hasn't been sending them in as often as they did just a few years ago (though they compensate from time to time with a 739 ). Also am glad the weather was nice for you, it's actually suppose to rain tomorrow!

Okay, my first reaction was to say I don't like your style of trip report. And to be honest, my second reaction was the same.
However, it's starting to grow on me a bit (I think the pictures helped). And you actually provided quite a few details. But maybe that's just the Smirnoff Ice talking.
Anyhoo, one wonders....does Palm Springs have its own Walk of Fame, or did Rock Hudson actually have some type of earth-shattering life event on that very spot? Or just a quickie with a budding actor?
