Well Paris had its sights and I really enjoyed europe but all good times come to an end and I was ready to go home.
I arose at 7 AM GMT to shower dress and pack. We got an airport shuttle to CDG. We ate breakfeast in the lounge and went to put our bags in the van. The driver was a short french-indian and was smaller than me. We were on our way onto the motorways after clearing town. We passed Gonesse and we were on the same spot where the camreaman filmed the concorde crash. We headed to T1 and headed to the ticket counters after clearing security. The flight to ORD looked bad and there was a HUGE S/A list. Anywho we headed up to Satalite 1 and the esclator was broken. Ugh! We had to walk it up and we were there. All the Aircraft there were 777-222s; one for SFO one for LAX and the one we were going to go on; to ORD. As we were waiting, UA 915 deplaned from the states and we looked to see that as an alternitive. It would have to be our flight to the states. We didnt get on the ORD flight. It was full! Well, we listed for IAD and my mom and I waited to get called. My dad ended up saying (joking): "Ok we have to get a hotel...just kidding!" Haha funny dad! He handed us our passes. Our passports were checked in the jetway and we boarded. For my mom's birthday, my dad let her fly first suite . I hope for my 18th birthday I can fly first suite!
My seat was 8A; right by the partition. Champagne and OJ was served of course I had the OJ!! The 777-222ER pushed back and the PW4000 engines started up. Before pushback menus were handed out.
Something else I forgot the #$%^ menu!

We taxied to our runway and the PW4000 engines roared in take off. We were off! We asended more and then i reclined my seat and deployed my PTV.

A new announcment was made that I never heard before: "Ladies and Gentlemen, to avoid congestion of crowds in areas please respect the curtians between classes. Use the Lavatories in your cabin." And then she told us where they were. A video of the Business class seat and its features was shown. I used the lav and found a flower pot with a flower in it. I think it was fake. I wacthed finding forrester. Its a really good movie about a street kid who has writing abilites like a world class author. He found an old local author who was secluded form the world. They became friends. And it goes on. We were served lunch I suppose and it was NASTY! My dad's sea bass stunk. Oh-well I am a picky eater. It would be good for adults with mature tastes. Well then we got served bottled water and the lights were turned out.
I tuned into AIRSHOW once in a while to see where we were. The tapes were rewound and I then wacthed Billy Eliott a move about an Irish kid who gives up boxing to do ballet. Wacthed that and wacthed finding forrester agaain. We then were in the States and I wacthe the video over IAD and where to go immigration etc. We went on approach to Dulles and landed. We followed the purple signs to connections. We were going to fly UAL express to IND and went to the T gates. In DC it was 87 degrees! The A/C broke and I was hot. The RJ was apparently oversold and we took the strange bus back to the C gates. I couldnt see what AC it was to ORD. I heard the call for F/C passengers and then narrowed down to a 767. I was right a 767-300ER. We got C and my dad in F. I was tired from staying up. I had a coke on ground. On this flight, there were a lot of ORD based F/As heading home. One F/A sat by me.
We soon took off, the PW4000 going and I turned the audio to 0 "the silent channel" and dozed off real quick. I then soon woke up over central Illinois. The seat belt sign came on and we desended into the Windy City. The F/A next to me sharply said to a man on approach who had his PTV out: Sir, could you please stow that for landing. The guy didnt look at him and stowed it. Rude. Anywho we landed at the C concourse, the F/As made the joke about having to walk farther.
Our next flight was to be at F5 and we went to the old terminal. My dad was prepared and made reservations at Alamo to rent a car home, just a mere 173 miles. We didnt make the first one and the second one was delayed so we decided to just go Alamo.
We soon got on the bus and our driver was a black man named Elbert. He welcomed us to the Windy city and told everyone where to return the car...South Mannaheim Rd etc etc. We went down Mannaheim to Alamo. At the end of the ride, he wished us a good stay and yelled DRIVE HAPPY! He was warm welcoming and funny.
We got onto 294 down to 80 in Gary and to 65 to Indy. I made a good try to sleep which I did. We arrived home 1:00 am and I was happy to be home!!! I ran up to my room and went to sleep. I took me a bit to get on schedule again.
And that was the end of an exciting trip to the UK and France. I hope you enjoyed my reports. I would love to come back to the UK and see some more and go to mabye Germany or Switzerland. Dont get me wrong Paris was fine but I need to get more stamps on my Passport!!!

The 767-300/ER has a diffrent model of the PW4000. The PW4000 is so big on the 777 that it equals the fuselage of a 737! I think the 762 has PW4000 engines or a diffrent model. Engines are not my best thing .

Actually, UA's 762s were some of the first examples built and use the earlier JT-9D7Rs. Later 767-200 also did use the P+W4000. Some of ELAL's 762s use the P+W4060 engine, which is the most powerful engine available on the 767, and which is used by some of UA's 763s.
