This time I flew from Amsterdam to Barcelona Spain to check out the new Low Cost
Airline Vueling. Vueling Airlines flies from Amsterdam direct to Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia. At this time Vueling Airlines flies to more than 20 cities each day. The origins of Vueling Airlines date back to the end of 2002. In 2002 Carlos Muñoz y Lázaro Ros established the airline. Vueling Airlines started in 2004 with 2 Airbus 320’s and now operates 9 Airbus 320’s and carried over 2,500,000 passengers last year. Vueling Airlines offers one way trips to there cities with prices starting as from € 10,00 excluding taxes. Vueling Cabin
The first thing I noticed when I got onboard the Airbus 320 was the trendy look of the cabin. Vueling is using different colours of headrest papers which gives a very fancy look to the cabin together with the leather seats
I checked in 3 hours before the flight would leave to Barcelona. The check-in in Amsterdam went quick as I was the first person in line. Lucky I found myself some
time to shop at Schiphol Airport. Then the walk to Terminal B to board the plane.
As I needed some time to make the photo’s. I pre boarded the flight so that I
was sure that the cabin was empty on my photo’s. Then you have to get the crew
on the photo and that can sometimes be really funny. Some people like being on
the photo and others don’t like it at all, but I know how to get people on the photo
and that the photo looks great as well. Be funny and open and that always works
(as you can see) I went to my seat and check the seat pitch. With my 196 cm of
length most of the pitches are always to small but Vueling’s seat pitch was fine
for me. On the way back I also checked the emergency exit and that is always
better of course.
Just after take off the crew started to serve the snacks and drinks. You fly Low Cost, so a cheap ticket price, but this means you have to pay for your drinks and snacks. Vueling offers a small menu card with reasonable prices. Soft drinks € 2,00, Beer € 3,00 and a sandwich for € 4,50
Meal Service
We started to descent into Barcelona International Airport. After the landing the
door opened and we got onboard the bus. I was expecting some sun, but I was
not lucky today. Barcelona had a very wet and rainy day. So as I always say bad
things happen. I collected my luggage and got myself a taxi to my hotel. After unpacking my suitcase I was very relaxed and thinking about my flight with
Vueling Airlines. Why paying a large amount for your ticket if you also can get
there cheap and comfortable with Vueling Airlines? This must say enough ……
All this would rate Vueling Airlines a 3 star airline.
