I've actually had the best food ever on an airplane with Swiss out of Bangkok (to ZRH). My only flight on a tri-jet (so far...) and I was in C where they served an exellent medium rare steak that was on par with some finer restaurants I've dined at.

What digicam were you using to take those pictures? You seem to be able to capture really clear shots even with poor lighting (evening shot after arrival in SIN)...

Well, I have had poor experiences on LX on several occassions, and I was in JCL, mind you! However, I was only flying it between SIN and BKK, which might explain the sub-par catering.
What camera am I using? The same one that I have been using for yonks! Kodak Easyshare DX8460.

Nice report and great pics. I'm flying BKK to SIN on SQ in a couple of weeks, and have high expectations...especially as I'll be flying into BKK from NRT on UA. Talk about chalk and cheese in termos of service, food and IFE!!!

Service has generally improved for SIA, I feel. Other than the outbound flight, service was excellent onthis one. I have just got back from Jakarta yesterday in SQ, excellent service both ways.
