Hello all. This is my first Trip report, so please, bear with me. Also, no pics for this one, but some on my return. Also, this was my first experience on US and I’ll tell you why they are now my airline of choice when I fly at the end of my report.
The Airport:
6:00 Am, Got out of bed a got ready for the morning.
6:30 Am checked out of my hotel and took the free shuttle to Logan Term A.
7:00 Am Check in at the US desk is a zoo, took us almost 10 to move about 10 feet in the queue when a Supervisor called out passengers for Aruba, LaGuardia and Regan flights, we followed him to the deserted Shuttle desk where we checked in under 5 minutes.
7:15 Am Boarding in progress by the time we arrive at our gate, flight was supposed to depart at 7:20, but we didn’t push until 7:35.
The Flight:
US285, A319-EOW
Once the belt sign clicked off the wonderful cabin crew began the breakfast/snack service. It consisted of an apple muffin and a cup of OJ/Coffee/Tea/Water and a Soda. I chose OJ and Coke.
The IFE Screens on the ceiling dropped soon after and the movies and TV programming soon began. I chose to ignore the movie and worked for a bit on my laptop. About 2 hours later the crew came around for another beverage service, I chose another juice.
At this point they cabin returned to watching the rest of the movie as we began our decent into Aruba. The excellent crew made one more round about the cabin as we came into the approach to paradise.
We then touched down only 15 minutes later then expected. As I deplaned I thanked the crew for their excellent service and stopped by the cockpit for a quick peek at the front office which the extremely friendly Captain did not mind at all. I would also like to add at this point that I asked for the names of the crew and personally wrote to US once I got home to commend them on a job well done. Also, I did this on the return, but that’s for another TR…
The Scores: 1-10
Airport 8/10 once we were in the right line check in was quick, friendly and painless.
Aircraft: 10/10 Super Clean inside and out.
Service: 7/10 Poor “snack” for a morning flight, but was very pleased with the beverage service.
Crew: 10/10 extremely professional, friendly and very helpful.
IFE: 10/10 no complaints, great programming nothing to add here.
Now, as I said this was my first US experience and now I try to fly them whenever I can because of their professional and friendly manor. These folks try very hard to make you enjoy yourselves and it shows. Thanks US!

By providing you with one stinkin muffin on what must have been a 4+hour flight ? Thats a disgrace . No meal? Even if it were a buy-on-board, that would be less of an insult than one muffin

If you read my report, I said it was POOR but was happy with the bev service as I got 3 beverages on 2 services, has not happend since '03 on DL and i've flown aa 3x and DL again since....
Quoting MajorNelson (Reply 3): A meager beverage service lilke that impressed you so much?
Yes as it was COACH and its a airline going thru a BK and a merger...
Well excuse me, I guess you dont make it to the back of the plane much.... From a coach pax standpoint it was a decent service, the likes of which i've only seen on delta. Besides which, I stated I enjoyed the service because of the CREW. Not the meal....

So have you flown any in the past few years? Heck, a muffin is more than you will get any other time.
