Flight #1

Northwest Airlines #384
LGA-MSP
Seat # 9F
A320
Scheduled (1135am-140pm)
Actual (1130-130pm)
First Class 100% full, Coach 70% full

Northwest Airlines check in this morning took very little time as there were only about 3 or 4 other people checking in at the time I was. After getting through security, I had lots of time to walk around.

There were lots of flights leaving for Atlanta, Tampa, Cinncinati and Orlando this morning.

Delta MD-88 headed to ATL:

Here’s a view of a B-737-200 bound for CVG. It was only about 50% full, I believe:

Our aircraft finally came into gate 8, and I boarded as soon as the first call was made. The A320 was not very full this morning, and I had the entire row 9 to myself.

We pushed back before scheduled departure time, and taxied for a long time to the runway.

In line for takeoff this morning was a United A320, US Airways A319, 2 AA S80's, a Continental 735, a Spirt A319 and our flight.

Finally we took off, and here is a view about 5 minutes after takeoff.

Beverage and snack service began shortly after we arrived at cruising altitude, and we were offered sandwiches and nuts for sale. I bought the snack mix, and stretched out for the 2 hour flight to MSP.

After a smooth flight, we reached MSP and began a short descent and landed. Our taxi to the gate was short, and we parked at F5.

Flight #2

Northwest Airlines #779
MSP-LAS
Seat # 15F
A320
Scheduled (215pm-332pm)
Actual (215pm-330pm)
100% Full in both F and Y.

Boarding commenced from G-17, and the flight was packed. We pushed back and made a slow taxi to the runway because there were some light rain showers in Vegas. This delayed our departure time by about 10 minutes.

Finally we took off, and beverage service began after about 20 minutes.

The flight to Las Vegas was just over 2 hrs 30 mins, and it passed quickly.

Flight #3

March 31, 2006

Northwest Airlines #784
LAS-MSP
Seat # 16F
B-757-200
Scheduled (915am-219pm)
Actual (905am-200pm)
100% Full

Las Vegas McCarran Intl Airport was very busy this morning, but luckily the NWA check in desks were empty. I checked in and made my way up to a long line at security.

After getting through security, I went by tram and by walking to D-14. A Delta 767-400 was boarding for ATL across the concourse and a Allegiant MD-82 was in the final boarding process for South Bend, IN.

The flight for MSP this morning was again very full, but boarding began early which was very nice.
After door 2L closed, we pushed back from the gate and began our taxi. In front of us was the Delta 767-400, Southwest 737-400, and an America West 737-300.

We took off after waiting for about 10 minutes, and flew right over Las Vegas Blvd as we climbed to our altitude.

Beverage service began quickly, and I bought the $5 sandwich of ham and Swiss on a croissant.

Here’s a view about 1 hour into the flight.

About 1:30pm, the captain came on to tell us that we would be landing and arriving at around 2:00pm. After descending through the clouds, we landed at a rainy, Minneapolis/St. Paul.

After a short taxi we arrived at G-20.

I hope all the pictures turn out okay.

Great TR,

BTW, how is the DL/NW terminal at LGA. I haven't heard anything about.

Good report, though that 'view 5 minutes after takeoff' is more likely '30 seconds after takeoff'...unless the plane leveled off at 2,000ft or sthg for 3-4 minutes, which is unlikely  Smile

It's alright in my opinion. Compared to many other airports in the country, it seems rather out-dated, but its nice that it has lots of windows and spacious gate areas. I haven't flown out of the terminal in a while, so I was pleased to see that they've added more shops/restaurants after the security checkpoint. It was really busy there in the morning, as about 4-5 flights to ATL leave in about a two hour time span.

BAtriple7,

You're right! I must have made that mistake in writing it. I think I originally meant to say 5 seconds, rather than 5 minutes. Yeah, we were on a right turn out of LGA. We did take a while that morning to get up to cruise altitude. Lots of waiting for ATC Clearance.

Quoting Oldman55,

I agree but the first time I posted the report I had a lot more pics, but had to delete some because they did not come out well. I forgot to change the title when I took those pics off.

Good looking pics, thanks for sharing them. I flew out of LGA on NW a couple months ago, but it was so freakin foggy you couldn't see anything about 5 seconds after takeoff.

My apologies; you're right. Thanks for letting me know. It was a 737-300.
